Mississippi Delta-born songwriter Will Griffith brings his dark country sound to Mighty Roots.

With a love for the rawness of punk and a songwriting style that finds beauty in the darker side of things, The Great Dying makes music that doesn’t shy away from sadness, it embraces it.

For 46 years mom has dedicated herself to real estate and appraisal professions building a career that helped open the doors for the women who would follow behind her. At a time when both real estate and, particularly, farm appraisers were heavily male dominated professions, mom broke barriers and became the first woman farm appraiser in the MS Delta and for several years, the only woman USDA farm appraiser in the area .
Last night she received a Lifetime Achievement Award for all her hard work. Couldn’t be more proud of my mom and my brother David who will most likely have to start putting awards on the ceiling as there is no space left on the walls. Super badass
