🚨 URGENT: WE NEED TEXTILE DONATIONS! 🧵💚 We’re running out of fabric at Greater Action, and we urgently need your help! 🙏 Our Afghan refugee women artisans transform pre-loved clothes and leftover textiles into beautiful, useful products. Creativity can give forgotten things a new life. ✨ At Greater Action, we brought art and upcycling together. Our tailoring team creates beautiful pieces every day. But what happens to the small fabric scraps left behind? Instead of throwing them away, we found a new purpose for them. In our art workshop, participants turned fabric scraps into art. They mixed colours, textures and creativity on canvas. Every small piece of fabric became part of something new. A simple scrap became a beautiful detail. And every canvas became a unique creation. This is the beauty of upcycling— seeing possibilities in what others might throw away. Giving materials a second life. Creativity is not about knowing how to paint. It’s about giving yourself permission to explore, play and discover what appears when you stop trying to get it “right.” In this workshop, we’ll combine painting with discarded fabrics from Greater Action’s sewing workshop—from small scraps of fabric to loose threads that would normally go to waste. We’ll transform them into texture, movement and beautiful unexpected designs on canvas. A creative experience where art, self-discovery and sustainability come together.
