I didn’t end up sharing my final piece of this (someday, maybe..) but @n.m.pane was so gracious to share his beautiful words, and let me make something with them, I had to share those at least. Double exposed a few extra daisies for fun, too.

Sending lots of love (and some virtual flowers) to whoever needs it out there 🤍 by @greathonourgoods

It’s not you, it’s the machine. Shine on, creatives! ✨

(Plenty of great posts on this and similar topics over @inspiredtowrite , who’s words inspired this piece)

Ok, off we go now. Back to work! ☺️ by @greathonourgoods

This month is brought to you by our fresh market veggies in France. 🥕 I made this between painting sessions at @chateau_de_la_vigne during our Watercolor Feast retreat with @theforestfeast , using the veggies we picked up at the market.

Those veggies truly did ALL the heavy lifting that week. We styled them, cooked with them, used them for still lifes, turned them into candle holders and admired them completely and wholly.

Looking through these photos brought back so many amazing memories from last month, so I’ll share more from this France adventure soon!

And if you’ve ever wanted to do a watercolor retreat, @theforestfeast is hosting her next one in Greece. Head to her page for more details. I can’t recommend it enough. ❤️

Happy #newmonth and happy time change to everyone else who was thrown off by that today! by @greathonourgoods

Apologies if you’re superstitious. 🪦 Lichen Beetlejuice, made with moss, tree bark, twigs, leaves and other fun little treasures from the ground.

Sistaaaahs! 🧹 Sharing some of my past Halloween favs this week. Winifred Sanderson is made from dried rose petals, corn cobs and husks, and other crunchy bits from the ground! Oh, and a Home Depot bag for her face.

Sound on for DRAMA!

Cannot believe we are here already… hello, October 🧡

My personal challenge this month was to make October WITHOUT pumpkins. Every year I use pumpkins, and I felt like that was… too easy? Too predictable?

So I used these orange zinnias I grew (& strawflowers) and twisted the jasmine from my fence into handwritten letters instead.

We love a time-consuming creative challenge!

Tomorrow I’m off to France to assist @theforestfeast with her watercolour retreat in the Loire Valley, which feels a little bit like a dream. Or maybe a lot like a dream. Cant wait! We will try to keep you updated in stories. 🇫🇷

Happy #newmonth :) now tell me something good… by @greathonourgoods

Mary Janes, ruffled jeans, wispy dresses, and the return of lunch-making….

Welcome, September 🫶

(Made with another beautiful bouquet gifted by a friend, featuring blooms grown by the magical and equally sweet @sunstonegardens )

I think the entire world is pouring one out for her today…

Sharing a few more Dolly pieces I’ve made over the years. The outpouring of love for her is such a beautiful testament to what a one-of-a-kind human she was.

The world will miss her greatly. 🦋 by @greathonourgoods

Not our Dolly. 💔

An icon, and the inspiration behind this nature portrait I made five years ago—mostly for that classic Dolly hair. I grew up with her music (didn’t we all?) and was always enamored by her style and her confidence to be exactly who she was, while encouraging others to do the same

Dolly Parton was my nickname as a kid, given to me by my great-grandmother (I think it was the bleach-blonde hair?). It’s stitched into my baby blanket, and she was my favourite doll to carry around.

She was in a league of her own. The world will miss you, Dolly. 🦋 by @greathonourgoods

One thing I’m sure of, everybody has a story that will break your heart. Take care of each other out there. 🤍

July was the last month I’d ever see my dad. His birthday, July 11, was the last time he spoke, and I’m so grateful it was a long conversation with my big brother. I was also given the incredible gift of time with him in his final days.

So, turning the calendar to a new month feels bittersweet. Part of me wants to hold on to July forever because it was the last month we shared. But time keeps moving whether we’re ready or not. We can’t control that. We can only choose what we do with the time we’re given.

So I’ll keep going. And I’ll keep creating. Just as he wished. 🤍

This month’s piece was made with flowers so lovingly sent by friends while I was in the deepest parts of grief.🤍 Grateful for so much love.

Ok, new month. Here we go… by @greathonourgoods
