Growing up, my family had a habit of leaving sticky notes around the house—small messages filled with encouragement and humor. On one particularly difficult day for my mother, I wrote her a note that read,
“You are doing GREAT things.”
That simple phrase stayed with me and eventually became something I carry with me every day.
It serves as a reminder that no matter where I am in life or what I’m facing—good or bad—doing my best is enough, and that effort is something to be proud of. The phrase extends beyond myself as well. When I look at others through that same lens, it helps me recognize their efforts, intentions, and growth. It’s a message of encouragement, but also one of being seen and valued.
SO… this account is not only about finding “great things” on Amazon. It’s about trying new things, being thoughtful, and learning to see the positive in everyday moments. Above all, it’s a space rooted in the belief that small efforts matter.
So remember—

🍁Can you tell I love fall???🍁

I’m in a bit of a posting slump, & I just couldn’t get myself to actually make an edit of any kind… so I hope these pics of me enjoying the start of fall weather are enough😂

Currently reading Kingdom of Ash (check the last pic to see my small but mighty progress on my annotations). Also listening to The Witch by Frieda McFadden🧙‍♀️ & Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë🤎 I’m all over the place!

If you need me I’ll be sweating in my fall sweaters & making pumpkin everything until further notice🧡 taken in BOOKSTA by @greatthingsbyem

🔥Current Read🔥

Well… sort of! To be honest, I made this post on Sunday to post for today, thinking I would still be reading this book. I still had about 30% of the book left! Turns out, I couldn’t put it down & finished it ALL yesterday🫣

This book was SO SURPRISINGLY GOOD! I had put it off for so long, thinking it wasn’t my style. (Modern day fantasy usually puts me off a bit🤷‍♀️) But WOW I’m so glad I picked it up! The true-crime/mystery aspect of it, combined with Maas’s talent to write engaging & enveloping fantasy worlds had me hooked from the start✨

If you’re debating picking this one up - DO IT!!! (Especially if you read it with a buddy! thanks @moonandmoss.create for answering my late night texts about the book;)) ❤️❤️❤️ taken in BOOKSTA by @greatthingsbyem

🪞Haunting Coretta Jones ARC REVIEW🪞

~~~~~
Stumbling into a hotel that claims its main attraction is the murderous ghosts haunting its halls, Coretta joins forces with the sweet paranormal investigator, Eli Adler, to uncover the secrets of the unsolved murders.🩸Against every instinct, she begins to fall for the handsome Eli (even though he believes in ghosts - something she FIRMLY believes is nonsense). With every twist & turn of their investigation, they begin to uncover the truth about it all - bringing them closer to danger with every step!👻
The atmosphere of this book is so deliciously spooky, yet cozy. It embodies the haunted hotel aesthetic perfectly & keeps you on your toes. It’s a perfect read for fall/witchy/halloween time!🍂🖤
🖤🕯️Haunting Coretta Jones 🕯️🖤
~~~
Coretta knows what it means to be haunted. She just doesn’t believe in ghosts.
For sixteen years, Coretta has stayed one step ahead of the stepmother who tried to kill her more than once.

But then she returns to her hometown and stumbles into a hotel where ghosts are the prime suspects in a string of murders. The deeper she digs into the hotel’s history—and the harder she falls for a charming if eccentric paranormal investigator—the closer her own past creeps.

With the walls of her own logic closing in on her, Coretta must face the truth she has spent years trying to escape: some ghosts are real, some monsters are human, and even the fairest souls are capable of madness.
~~~
HAPPY RELEASE DAY!!!!🖤 I had the wonderful opportunity to be an ARC reader for @author_kbmacneille ‘s debut novel & I absolutely ATE IT UP! If you are looking for a slow burn, haunted hotel, murder mystery, cozy & spooky read for all ages - this book is a MUST for your TBR!!👻🖤
