Ego Trip? Self promo? Both? Is this even necessary? Why? 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sharing is caring? I do love sharing music with y’all…so here are some different places and spaces I’ve been blessed to do that in as of late. 🙏🏼👆🏽🎶 Of course this all wouldn’t mean much without all the thoughtful and beautiful people present. Sharing. I also am extremely grateful to the artists who create the sounds that I share. “Music” (or sometimes “sound”) has been the most consistent baseline I’ve had throughout my life. 🖤 So I present you with some new “permanent” content on my grid. Thank you to everyone that has shared in any of these positive experiences with me lately. It really doesn’t mean much without y’all. ✨ 📸 by @shadeaux_inthe_sunrise @kikiandthecosmicegg @thedjbobmarino and yours truly + apologies if I missed you, lmk 🙏🏼 by @greciandelight

Hi. It’s @Bandcamp Friday and I have a new album - or beat tape - or project - or etc - out today on @potionsmusicnyc 😮! Please check the link in bio if interested in hearing/supporting/purchasing what I’ve been up to musically during the pandemic and currently. This is a better description than I could’ve written: “A flowing lofi journey through pandemic era Dreas keeping his head above water and flowing freely through the Michigan landscape of lake sunset soundtracks, dune campfire beats, samples that shake through the tall grasses, and keep your heart open through dark times. The A Side Michigan Transmissions is modern era 2001 Dreas, digging tunnels through soul samples, hard drums and live samples, keeping a firm grip on emotional fortitude and swaying moods. The B Side Liquid Modern is a floating canoe drifting effortlessly down your ear canals, shooting you down waterfalls that drop you onto a secret beach where you are intoxicated by your surroundings until you melt into a sand dune in Saugatuck and are left fossilized in a stone and found millions of years later by a young fisherman.” Thank you to my friends that contributed by joining on listening sessions, giving me inspiration, feedback, and help to complete this project and especially @potionsmusicnyc for the followthru and consistent radness. 🖤 by @greciandelight
Photo / Life dump… 👋🏽 Been a while since I’ve shared some “ permanent content ” - guess I better stay relevant…😅 Behold! 🙌 Pandemic Polaroids, Friends and loved ones, starting with myself! 🖤 to all, especially those included therein: @kikiandthecosmicegg @eastownj @davemataofficial @arachnidkid @shadeaux_inthe_sunrise - AND to many not pictured: @dj__greg__d @benfasman @scubagooding @mikelsaunders @potionsmusicnyc @jocelynmichellebrown @martini.cicero @driponlygr @floraborealisgr AND so many others. I can’t list you all rn but know when I see you I mean it. It’s been quite a journey the past 2/3 years, here’s a brief summary: pandemic, divorce, turned 40, met new people, new relationship, turned 41, grieved, learned a LOT, grew a lot, and continue to daily. So yeah, now you know (some). Maybe I’ll start posting more frequently. Maybe I won’t. ✌🏽 by @greciandelight
I believe it’s appropriate to post one of my top 10 45s of all time on this #45friday as the homies at @symphonicalrecords have re-released this double sided 💎 today. Head over to their page to hear the audio and purchase. 💪 I first heard this 45 about 15 or so years ago from my number 1 homie Aaron Anderson #breakself - who probably heard it from Brad @michigan_museum . I immediately fell in love with both sides and wondered how they achieved the lo-fi yet sophisticated soul vibes in 1984 nonetheless. Come to find out the producer Wyman Jerome Taylor sampled all the instruments into his synth and arranged these instrumentals that a then 16 year old LaVallis recorded her wise-beyond-her-years vocals over. And that was a wrap, no concerts or further output beyond a release party. 🤯 I’m also posting this today to express how much I miss my friend Aaron on what would be close to a milestone that we would both be sharing soon. Aaron passed in September of 2011. He was born on February 10, 1981. I was born on February 13, 1981. What I wouldn’t sacrifice to cheers with the homie to entering into our 40s together...it’s hard to believe it’s almost been 10 years since he transitioned. Regardless, I know his spirit is with me and the countless other lives he touched in his 30 years of living this life. Cheers to Aaron, life, love, growth, friendship and good music. 🍻❤️ 🎶 by @greciandelight
