POSTS STORIES REELS

Goodbye, Dotty. 💔🐅
You will always be in our hearts. 😥
For more than a decade, I have followed your journey through the forests of Bandhavgarh. I watched you rule the Magadhi landscape, raise your cubs, fight your battles and survive the many challenges that the wild threw at you.

I watched you become a mother to D1, D2 and D3, and later to Sundari, Fighter and your other daughters. I watched you eventually leave Magadhi for your girls and move to Tala, taking over your sister Spotty’s territory after her demise.

But Tala wasn't easy.

For nearly two years, you struggled against invading males, yet you endured. You survived. And then came your final litter—the cubs we were fortunate enough to witness during the last safari season.

Then the monsoon came. The park closed, the forest became inaccessible, and somewhere in that chaos you lost your cubs to another male. Once again, you were on the move, seemingly trying to find your way back towards Magadhi.

And today, your journey has come to an end.

It hurts because I didn't just know you as a tiger on a safari checklist. I watched your story unfold for more than ten years.

I saw you become a mother.
I saw you lose.
I saw you fight.
I saw you endure.

And perhaps that is what I will remember most about you—not just the queen you were, but the survivor you became.

Farewell, Dotty. 🖤

Run free, old girl.

Your legacy will live on through the generations you left behind, and in the memories of everyone who was fortunate enough to witness your journey.

The forests of Magadhi and Tala will never be quite the same without you.

You may have already seen him… 👀
That young male who often appears along the highway. 🛣️🐅
Son of DM × Chabahni, he is slowly beginning to make his own mark in Bandhavgarh.
But look a little deeper… 🧬
His blood carries the legacy of some of the most legendary tigers of this forest.
And here’s what makes his lineage truly fascinating…
Both his mother’s AND father’s side can be traced back to the legendary Choti Mahaman Female. 🌳🐯
Two branches.
One remarkable bloodline.
The legacy of Mahaman lives on. 🐅🌿

Samrat. 🐅

Moving quietly through the Bhitri grassland… and then, for a moment, stopping to look straight into the camera.

But this was no ordinary evening.

Just hours earlier, Samrat had been seen deep inside Bajrang’s territory, around Ketkiha, after Bajrang’s daughter — the Ketkiha Female. And now, as the last light of the season faded, he was resting and moving through Bhitri, one of Bajrang’s favoured strongholds for years.

Was Samrat simply passing through?

Or was he quietly testing the boundaries of a territory that has long belonged to another male?

The season ended with questions rather than answers.

On 1 October, when Bandhavgarh opens again, perhaps we'll discover what this unusual movement really meant.

A new season. An old territory. And a young challenger who may have something to say about it.

What happens next?
Samrat vs Bajrang — Round 2? 🐅

DARHA BACHHI — THE LEGACY BEARER

Some tigresses rule a territory.
Some become part of its history.

Darha Bachhi belongs to the latter.

For years, the forests of Khitauli have carried her story — through changing males, shifting territories and generation after generation of cubs. She has quietly played her part in keeping the forest alive, one litter at a time.

Darha Bachhi — one of the queens who shaped Khitauli. 🐅🌿

KATIWAH — THE QUEEN WE LOST

For years, Katiwah was one of the faces of Khitauli.

Bold. Powerful. Unmistakable.

She wasn't merely occupying a territory — she was raising the next generation in it. From Modhatara to the grasslands of Khitauli, she became a tigress that countless wildlife lovers came to know, follow and admire.

Her cubs learned from her.
The forest remembers her.

Last year, Katiwah disappeared from the landscape she had ruled for so long.

She leaves behind a legacy.

And Khitauli will always remember its warrior queen. 🐅🖤

TARA — THE QUEEN WHO ENDURED

Some names become famous because of a single sighting.

Tara became famous because she stayed.

Through changing seasons, changing males and generations of tigers, she continued to hold her place in the ever-changing story of Khitauli.

Tara carried an older lineage into a new generation — becoming a mother, a territorial tigress and eventually one of the most recognisable queens of this forest.

Years passed.

Khitauli changed.

But Tara remained.

Not just a tigress of Khitauli — a chapter in its living history. 🐅👑

RAA — THE FEARSOME RULER OF KHITAULI

Born into one of Bandhavgarh's most recognisable lineages, Raa grew up in a forest where survival is never guaranteed. Today, she has become a queen in her own right — holding territory, raising cubs and carrying her family's genes into another generation.

The queens before her shaped Khitauli.

Now, Raa is writing what comes next.

And perhaps that is the most beautiful thing about the jungle —

the story never really ends.

SAMRAT vs BAJRANG — and perhaps, the story is only beginning. 🐅

For months, the story in Tala has been quietly building.

On one side stands Bajrang — an established male, deeply familiar with his territory and the landscape he has ruled for years.

On the other is Samrat — younger, powerful, increasingly confident… and seemingly unwilling to remain at the edge of Bajrang’s kingdom.

Their encounters have made one thing clear: Samrat is no longer just a young challenger.
He is testing boundaries.

And then came the last day of the safari season.

The morning drive brought an unexpected sighting.

Samrat was spotted deep inside what has long been considered Bajrang’s territory, around the Ketkiha area — moving after Ketkiha Female, Bajrang’s daughter.

But that was only the beginning.

As the day faded, Samrat was found inside Bhitri Grassland - A place that has been one of Bajrang’s favourite haunts for the last four to five years.

And there he was…

Samrat.

Resting peacefully in the late-evening light, as if he had every right to be there.

Was this merely a temporary movement?

Was Samrat following a female?

Was he testing Bajrang’s boundaries?

Or was this a glimpse of something much bigger unfolding in Tala?

We don't know.

And perhaps that's what makes this story so intriguing.

When the gates open again on 1 October, the real question won't simply be where is Samrat?

It will be—

How much of Bajrang’s kingdom will still belong to Bajrang?

The new season may have answers.

Or it may bring an entirely new chapter to the story of Samrat and Bajrang.

What do you think happens next? 🐅

D1 — The King who didn't wait for a crown... He conquered one.

Born to the iconic Dotty and the Mighty Mahaman,
D1 wasn't handed a throne.
He fought for every inch of it.
As a young male,
he travelled, conqured and expanded his territory.
He challenged the mighty rulers of Khitauli.
Fought battles that changed Bandhavgarh forever. Ended an era when the legendary Pujari fell, and with him, an entire dynasty.
Today, this giant walks the forests with the confidence of a king.
Every roar redraws boundaries.
Every scent mark is a warning.
Every head-on stare reminds the jungle of one brutal truth—
Power is never inherited. It is taken.

Not every stare is meant to be admired.
Some are meant to be feared. 🐅
The first glance locked onto me like a warning.
The next moment, the mask dropped.
There are tigers that pose for the camera... And then there are tigers that remind you who's in charge.

That piercing eye contact lasted only a moment before the jungle echoed with a snarl that sent a clear message: "This is my kingdom.
Keep your distance."
Power isn't always silent.
Sometimes, it bares its teeth.
