As I enter my 7th month of pregnancy, the idea of ever embarking this journey of motherhood was far fetched for me.

Back in 2016, I was told by my doctors (definitely saw 3-4 to confirm) that I had a 5%-%8 chance of ever getting pregnant due to a personal medical condition. For those who know me, I ABSOLUTELY love kids and hearing that really broke me as a woman.

Of course there are other alternatives, but being able to bring life into this world is a gift and power like no other.

With the many different titles that we aspire to aim for in life such as CEO, Entrepreneur, Wife, Husband, Father etc…becoming a Mother is everything to me.

2 miscarriages later, I am here entering 27 weeks and let me tell you, there are no words to describe how I feel in this moment.

I’ve been through so many emotions since the day I found out I was pregnant and I cherish each day as I get closer to my due date.

As we step into the final month of 2024, I can’t help but reflect on the journey this year has brought me. It’s been one of healing, growth, and self-discovery. 🌱

This year, I chose to truly get to know “ME” — to embrace a new chapter in my life with open arms. I’ve poured my energy into becoming a healthier, stronger version of myself while diving deeper into my passion for helping others through my Executive Assistant business. Every step forward has been a lesson in resilience and courage.

And through it all, being a mother to my beautiful daughter has remained my greatest joy and inspiration. 💖 She reminds me daily of the power of love, the importance of showing up, and the beauty in vulnerability.

To anyone reading this, if you’re on your own journey of healing or chasing a dream, I want you to know this: it’s okay to start over, to pivot, to focus on *you.* You are worth the effort it takes to grow into your best self. 🌟

Here’s to a year that pushed me, grew me, and prepared me for all that’s ahead in 2025. Let’s finish strong. 💼💪🏾

Coffee, matcha, culture, and community. 🤎☕✨

Spent the day exploring Detroit one stop at a time with @mandafresh Coffee Crawl aboard @thedetroitculturetour. From @thesirenhotel to @yellowlightdetroit inside Michigan Central, @cafe_sous_terre, and brunch (plus espresso martinis 🍸) @parlay_detroit, every stop was filled with good vibes, great conversations, and even better company.

There’s just something special about Black women coming together to explore the city, support local businesses, and simply enjoy the moment. Until the next crawl! 🫶🏾

From running through the city, past the stadiums, to crossing that finish line with the crowd cheering nonstop… @irtd5k was such a vibe. 💙

And baby… @werun313 understood the assignment because that cheer squad was LIT 😂🙌🏽

This run was personal. 🏁

Brought my birthday in doing what I love, surrounded by people I love, in a city that showed us nothing but love.

I PR’d my outdoor 10K, pushed through the hills, and most importantly… I listened to my body.

Because growth isn’t always about doing more… sometimes it’s about knowing when to pivot.

Grateful for my @werun313 family, the STL crew, and everyone who showed up, cheered, ran, and supported 💙
