❤️ plants, gardening, & photography, no idea what I’m doing with them but the plants seem to grow. Love the colours, textures & patterns of them all 🥰

Some of the seeds are doing great, some aren’t, some I’ve lost labels, so no idea what I’m growing, some have been potted in into trays without drainage (doh!), but generally I’m happy with what’s happening so far! First time growing in Autumn, fingers crossed they stay happy! 🍂 by @green_things_i_grow

This is all about the Cobaea. I love them. How can such a tiny seed become so huge and have so much coverage in one season! Survived the heat, and is now starting to produce some beautiful flowers! See the last shot for how tiny they were when I first planted them out. Defo doing these next year! by @green_things_i_grow

It’s not just the flowers in the garden that are beautiful, look at all these leaves, especially at this time of year as they start to change colour. So much detail and the most amazing patterns out there! Really don’t know which season is my fave, spring or Autumn? Spring for the excitement of what’s to come, or Autumn because the colours are so rich and vibrant! #autumngarden #garden #leaves #patternsandtextures by @green_things_i_grow

September garden days 🍂🌿

The garden has had a little glow-up since August! The dahlias are finally putting on a show, the grass is green again, and even the crispy leaves have bounced back. 🌸💚

Enjoying these last little moments of summer before autumn really settles in. 🍁☕️ by @green_things_i_grow

A few piccies from this evening. We had ‘proper rain’ everything looks so much greener! Woohoo! The grass even needs a cut. The evening light felt quite autumnal, very pretty, but I’m not sure I’m quite ready for the next season yet though, I feel as though things are just starting to look good again! Please last a bit longer summer!! by @green_things_i_grow

All of these plants have come back for a second chance, most of them I had to cut right back as the sun had pretty much fried them all! I seemed to have no shade this year, even the shady areas were sunny for too long. But I’m so happy to say they’re back for another go! Woohoo! The rain is certainly helping too! Never been so happy for a wet August bank holiday! 🤣🤪 by @green_things_i_grow

July in the garden! There’s been some good and some bad! This weather is extremely testing and frustrating, but there is still some lovely colour and lushness out there! My beautifully green lawn is no more, but when we eventually get some rain sure it will bounce back!! These are the good bits! Believe me, there’s a lot of dead, crispy and empty areas too. But until it rains, I can’t bring myself to buy more to fill those gaps, to just watch them die again!! 🤦‍♀️ I have loved my growing from seed first season, it’s certainly not been simple! Rewarding, frustrating but learning all the way! Already thinking about next year!!

Here are some plants that are happy in this crazy weather. Not that I am! They’re defo not all happy, there’s a lot that are requiring extra shade or crazy amounts of water! I’m all for some sunshine, but this seems very extreme! 🤦‍♀️😢😩 are we going to have to change our gardens? I’ve only just started my seed planting life, Do I need to change already!!!!? 🤯 by @green_things_i_grow

End of June in the garden. So much new growth and new blooms daily. I just love my little daily wanders to see what’s happened! Not all great due to the crazy weather lately, but it’s still looking lovely. My first year growing from seed, and I’ve never had so much colour and variety! It’s not all positioned perfectly, but I’ll learn, and next year will be even better! 💚💕 by @green_things_i_grow

Some close up of things that are flowering! 💙💜💚❤️ by @green_things_i_grow

End of May and beginning of June! Loving all the colour coming back again, and still so much more to come, very exciting, sowing your own, planning and planting the garden out to get longer lasting blooms! Almost there with all the seedlings… but ooh, biennial seedlings need starting soon! 🤣🤦‍♀️💜💙❤️💚
