Transformers was my hands down favourite series in the 80s. I had a load of the toys. Until I went to Libya and ‘donated’ them to my cousins. 😂While my project The Finguh Sketches Vol. 2 is on hold, I’ll be keeping up my discipline by making beats and visuals out of classic TV shows and cartoons. OurKid has to be one of the realest young uns I’ve worked with. At 20 he understands the sport of being an MC. He doesn’t take things personally and doesn’t see his arse over simple humour. Straight up G.Unfortunately he’s also moved on from Rap for now, so asides from a couple bits I’ve got coming with The Finguh Sketches Vol. 2 and another thing he recorded with me for a different producer, this is the last you’ll be hearing from him, rap wise for a while. I’m honoured to be the last one to catch him on vid doing it.Go get em warrior. Last year I had the pleasure of working with and helping develop a few special artists. The feature on this track, OurKid was one of the most open and ready to work individuals I have come accross in a long time I understand people don’t like my approach. They think I’m some sort of hater who has no love for young artists. And apparently I drag grass roots movements when I speak truths that they just don’t want to hear. I say that they are thin skinned and shouldn’t be anywhere near a mic. That’s not hating. It’s the truth. If they had the strength to listen, they might learn. If they had spirit to cooperate, together we, the ants would crush the elephant. OurKid is an artist that understands this concept, even at such a young age. The dojo worked well for us both. It’s funny that I met the guy I coproduced this track with in Blackburn about 13 years ago now. Insain blew my mind with the beats from day one. He was initially another young person I worked with who turned into a good friend and trusted member of my staff team. We see each other rarely nowadays but when we do, something special always comes out of it. My brother.Massive thanks to Don Kufi for absolutely lording the video.
