Take it from a former overwater-er.
Overwatering can be detrimental to your plants!
Watering is all about FREQUENCY, not the amount of water you give! Your plants love a good thorough watering but not until they are ready!
Giving small sips of water a couple times a week (especially without checking the soil) is a 1 way ticket to root rot town (and no one likes it there!)

Tips to prevent over watering:

•Use a skewer to see if the soil below the surface is retaining any moisture before you water.

•Watering frequency is not the same for all plants. Some like to live in even moisture (think begonias) and some like to nearly dry out completely (think succulents&cacti).

•Use a quick draining chunky soil mix so your plants have the chance to dry out a bit between watering!

•Saturate fully and let all excess water drain out the drainage holes!

Keep on growing!!🪴

Current obsession: Begonias!

Cane type, Rex type or even Shrub type!

With all the stunning patterns / colors / some are even a little hairy 🤣 I’m confident everyone can find a begonia that’s right for their collection!

I find that they have high water needs and thrive in bright indirect light!

Begonias never complain with a little extra humidity and don’t really attract many pests!

Mature begonias will flower for you but that’s just a perk compared to their stunning foliage!

Begonia Dancing Girl
Begonia Dibs Rothko
Begonias Fannie Moser
Begonia Maculata
Begonia “Corallina de Lucerna”
