We are very excited to be offering this Permaculture Design Certificate Course on the Garden Route at two lovely local venues : a nursery in Hoekwil and Heartland School, Sedgfield rural. It will take place from April to September in 6 weekend modules.
Permaculture is a powerful design modality that helps us to create integrated food systems and human settlements that respect the natural environment and are appropriate to the specific context. It can be applied to urban or rural contexts and is a powerful regenerative tool also.

Please contact kate@greenhearted.net for bookings & info.

*Nature *Nurture *Connect
Green Hearted is raising funds to continue to support people to grow!
By grow their own food -in a chemical-free, organic way that respects the environment and themselves, we also grow community.
As part of our vision we want to create a learning centre, close to nature, where we could host volunteers, residential courses for youth and women, and offer living examples of good Permaculture practice and opportunities for nature connection and immersion.

Siyabulela! Dankie! Thank you!
The facilitators weekend with Cultural Connections was a profound and inspiring weekend of heart-centred facilitation. Huge thanks to @beneatheleaf and @culturalconnectionsza for organizing such a beautiful and meaningful event. We shared so much more than our Nature-related facilitation tools and processes.

In 1992 we did a permaculture design course, one of the first offered in SA, it changed our lives
We looked at design differently, made choices based on the living world, and how we interact within systems.
On the 28th and 29th of November we are offering an introduction to this way of living facilitated by one of South Africas leading teachers Kate Curtis from @greenheartedprojects Kate is passionate about ecosystem regeneration and nature connection for positive planetary and social change, and shares her passion beautifully
Our space is limited, so unfortunately only 12 spots are available
Book by contacting Kate( details on flyer) or dm/ WhatsApp me and I will connect you
Our guest cottage is available to book or there will be camping options

We are very excited to create our own Kos Bos agroforestry style plot in our allotment garden in spring with @greenheartedprojects ! Kate and I (Layla) taught a course together in Rheenendal in 2021 and some of the course participants are still growers in the @umthombotrust garden today so it is very special to have Kate coming to teach a two day course in our Umthombo space.

Get hold of me on the email provided or via DM for a spot on the course - you’ll learn AND be contributing to an abundance food forest that our youth will get fruit and food from. And please share with someone you might think would want to join us! by @greenheartedprojects

What did the course bring to you? "Abundance!" "Bringing nature back to life!" More feedback from the inspired and connected participants on the Successional Agroforestry Course at The BeHive with Alex Kruger and Kate Curtis. Thank you Michelle and Zuko for your positive reflections, and for annakent.fineart for filming these fun clips 💚 by @greenheartedprojects

Thanks, Yazeed, for your super positive feedback about how the Succesional Agroforestry course catalyzed you. "Even if you 'fail', there's a lot of uses for that failure, it can be used for compost, mulch. So there is no real failing, the failing is not starting!" 💚 by @greenheartedprojects
