Greenlee conduit benders have a few small details that make a big difference when you’re learning how to bend pipe.

One I like is the little raised pointer on the bender head that lines up with the degree markings. Looking down from above, you can use it to see roughly where you’re at in the bend, whether you’re working toward 10, 30, 45, or 90 degrees.

It’s especially useful when you’re learning offsets and trying to get consistent bends without constantly stopping to check your work.

You still want to verify your angles when accuracy matters, but learning how to read the markings on your bender makes the whole process a lot smoother.

Sometimes getting better at bending conduit starts with understanding the little features on the tools you’re already using.
