From lifted Gladiators on 40s to a beat-up little red Beetle. A welcome change of pace! Well, we still have many-a-Jeep, also.

Bought this 2014 Beetle Convertible 2.5L for $4,000 with 241K miles, 7 fault codes, a broken convertible top, airbag and traction control lights, weak A/C, and brakes that were absolute shit.

A lot of parts, patience, and troubleshooting later, she’s at 244,466 miles with no CEL, no warning lights, and nearly 30 MPG.

Funny how life changes. Our former handle of Warninglightz is behind us, and quite literally on this car. Greenlightz is our next chapter, and somehow this little hooptie has become one of our favorite cars we’ve ever owned. Nothing beats a convertible in Florida.

Huge thanks to @fcpeuro for so many quality parts, including @pagiduk for the brakes. Module Experts in Jacksonville came through with a quick turnaround on our seemingly never-ending VW ABS module problems. Peter at Ross-Tech was always quick to help with the VCDS coding issues. And as always, @snapon_official, @milwaukeetool, @rightlook for our detailing supplies, and @amazon for helping keep this little creature alive.

The challenge isn’t really who has high mileage in a car like this that’s so easy to love and drive, it’s who has similar or higher mileage AND no warninglights?!?! We’re betting it’s a slim margin 😂

Big changes happened.
We work to live, not live to work.
T&t! We have never been the ones held back by society rules of what to do so… we sold everything and moved our asses to where we want to be to enjoy each day as it comes.

We started a fleet of rentals and are able to focus on living our best life! Moving to Florida has been the best choice we have ever made.
Thank you to everyone who helped make Utah bearable.
