Two years ago Pixie and Fox moved to New Jersey and made our house a home. Since then life has felt warmer and kinder and my heart is full. I’ll never run out of things to learn and ways to grow, but not only does it feel possible, with Pixie and Fox in my life I wake up with a reason to better and the drive to make sure we have the happiest, safest, most comfortable lives possible. I’ve known a lot of great dads in my life. Some are still with some are not. But my dad taught me the most useful information I needed to be Fox’s dad when he was ready to let me into his life. Still got a lot to figure out but with my wife and my own day and all of the great dads in my life I never feel alone and nothing feels impossible. Happy Father’s Day to every dad still here in whatever way, and thanks for letting me by your dad bug. by @greenrob

NOV 2025

I guess now is as good a time as any to say something about @pyre_screamo . Pyre was a wild ride I’ll never forget that spanned years and in that time I wrote some of the best stuff I ever have for a band. Got to meet an insane amount of good people and see some wacky stuff while making something people vibed with it seems like. Damn we all have really good taste in music. And like @bluerob_ said through that Pyre will never truly die.

Closing that chapter and starting new ones paved the way to focus on building a home, supporting family and friends in all of their endeavors like they have mine, especially when it wasn’t always convenient. November is the season of Dilly Dally and Thanksgiving, and I am thankful for the people I love, for them loving me back, screamo and the undying spirit of DIY. May we all find our one. by @greenrob

OCT 2025

October was definitely a rough month. Most of the pictures I skipped through were selling stuff. But when it comes time to like take a look around and take stock on what makes you happy, you realize most stuff is just stuff and you can and will live without it. We build up, we disassemble, we rebuild even stronger. And really the most important thing is the people around you and linking arm in arm and remembering what you do it for. by @greenrob

SEPT 2025

This was a month I got really close to Fox, or at least we got to spend a lot of time together. Pixie had gone outta town and we went to Riverfest in Thunder Stadium, where he got to fish for the first time which had been a dream of his for a minute. And when it came time to get a haircut he wanted to get a buzz cut so he could look like his dear ol dad. Watching him grow is quite literally the coolest shit. by @greenrob

Happy Mother’s Day to the love of my life Pixie aka @whereitalldies and my own mom @eiggam_nella. Being a mother is quite possibly the hardest role to assume in this life. It is beautiful and difficult and amazing and extremely taxing. I’m thankful for Pixie’s kindness, patience, grace and understanding and raising Fox into an amazing young man and for my mom who had a huge influence on me to make me the man I am today. When you’re a mother you assume a thousand different roles for what your child needs and day in day out I see a beautiful woman give her everything to a beautiful child. And every day even at my worst points I know who I am and what i’m capable of. I have been surrounded by amazing mothers my entire life and I am thankful for that eternally. AUGUST 2025

New Friends Fest came and went like a blur. Absolutely wild that a project I was a part of got to be included in THE go to fest where everyone showed up for every band. We got to go Wildwood TWICE this year, which is usually unheard of. And while a lot of things from my childhood are being demolished to place beige condos there and take away the soul that made it great, the beach is still free and the water’s still warm. Ate a lot of good food in our spots and made by Pixie, went to an insane German restaurant for Rob’s birthday, all in a good sendoff to the summer. Shoutout Canada for having cool stuff at McDonald’s and things being a third cheaper than in the hellscape we’re stuck in, shout out to my family for loving each other and being the best people to travel with, shout out to the earth for being a thing and shit. by @greenrob

JULY 2025

I have to do five of these in like two days so here we go. It is cold as shit right now so it’s actually nice to look back on a warm month. Got to go to Wildwood with the whole family which made me feel like a kid again, saw some cool stuff in different parts of the country on the way to New Friends Fest, and saw a lot of old friends along the way. I’ll definitely make a gushy Pyre post before the year’s over, but for now let’s pretend it’s summer and warm and breezy and we don’t have to face a bleak winter ahead. by @greenrob

Happy birthday to my best friend, my partner, my wife, the love of my life, Pixie. This is the second birthday we’ve gotten to spend together and the first anniversary of our engagement. As someone who has seen me in my best and worst points not only did you not waver, but you have been flourishing as an artist and continue to grow and celebrate more victories and successes and be the best best person I know. I hope to be with you for every birthday to come and find new ways to love you every day. JUNE 2025

The transition from spring to summer is a breath of fresh air. The season in general feels more saturated, colors feel like they pop more, there’s more flexibility to the do the stuff you wanna do, like sleep with the window open or go for a swim somewhere. Saw some cool stuff, got to go on a few dates with Pix, got to start our new tradition of bonfires in the backyard, all in all a great way to kick off the season. Hard to complain but not impossible, but even if I could it’s not about the people I care about. Mainly about the passing of Brian Wilson. by @greenrob
