@ascendsupplyau @zakulrich

Hi, I’m Zak — a creative artist, adventurer and lover of all things wild, colourful and unconventional.

Creativity is a big part of who I am. I express myself through psychedelic art, drawing, painting, guitar and music, always looking for new ways to bring the ideas in my head to life.

Nature and spirituality keep me grounded. I feel most at home in the bush and mountains, and I’m fascinated by the energy of people and places. I try to stay open-minded, trust my intuition and remain connected to the world around me.

I’m a passionate rock climber, often exploring the cliffs and crags of the Blue Mountains. I love anything that gets me outdoors, from snowboarding and skydiving to camping, travelling and discovering somewhere new. I currently live full-time in my van, moving around Sydney, the Blue Mountains and wherever the next adventure leads. Van life lets me keep things simple and build my days around what I love.

Before this chapter, I was a Crew Leader with the NSW Rural Fire Service in the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai area. It taught me about leadership, resilience, teamwork and looking out for others.

These days I work on several businesses and creative projects, learning new skills and building a lifestyle around creativity and the outdoors. Bush doofs, music and art have brought me into wonderful communities. I love the freedom and connection of coming together, leaving everyday life behind and being present with one another and the environment.

I’m grateful to shape a life around creating, exploring, connecting and spending time in nature. For me, life is about staying curious, following what feels meaningful and having the courage to make it authentically my own.

Doof Nights 30 September

@sa.yoginp @dj.shaji

HIMALAYAM — where the Himalayas meet Malayalam, connecting two ancient cultures through psychedelic sound, is the synergy of two paths, two cultures and one shared vision of psychedelic storytelling.

Born from the collaboration between Sa.Yogi and Shaji, the project explores the spectrum of psytrance as a single evolving journey. From deep, hypnotic progressive grooves to the spiritual roots of Goa trance and the driving energy of full-on psytrance, every set guides dancers through shifting states of consciousness, blending these other-worldly sounds into a seamless experience by balancing atmosphere, groove, melody and intensity.

Beyond the stage, the duo are also the co-founders of Thirivadelic, a Sydney-based psytrance collective dedicated to cultivating community and celebrating the diversity of psychedelic music. Inspired by their cultural heritage and a shared passion for psychedelic music, HIMALAYAM offers more than a DJ set—it is a musical bridge between traditions, styles and generations of psytrance.
