This is why we do what we do. 🏔️🪟

Final shot at the Grand Canyon Skywalk. Diego walking the job, first person POV, taking in the view left to right then looking down through the graffiti film we just installed protecting the glass beneath his feet.

People from all around the world will walk across this film and never think twice. But we know it’s there. 💪

From the overnight shifts to the pitch black installs with nothing but spotlights, this view right here makes it all worth it. 🙏🔥

What a job. What a crew. What a view. 👀🌅

Ricky breaking down the drop roll method from his POV. This technique helps control the film, keep things clean, and make installs smoother when working larger pieces.

It’s just one of many techniques we go deep on at Tint Lab. Ricky and Josh walk you through the process step by step so you can understand not just how to do it, but why it works. Learning the small details like this is what separates a good installer from a great one.

If you’re serious about leveling up your installs and understanding the process firsthand, this is exactly the kind of knowledge we’re sharing at Tint Lab.

Casually dropping 8 mil safety film like it's nothing 💪

That's roughly four times thicker than standard window tint, and it does not forgive mistakes

When the glass breaks, the film holds it together, so nobody gets an easy way in 🔒

If someone gets hit, everyone's getting sued ⚖️

Go too dark or skip the rules, and the other side's insurance company will look for anyone to hang it on, including the shop that tinted the car

That's why we won't go darker than 70 on a windshield, safety first every time 🛡️

Factory edge or cut your own? 🤔

On windows like this, usually about 12 feet up, nobody ever sees the bottom, so a factory edge works depending on the frame

But leaving an inch of overlap all the way around and cutting your own edge is usually faster than lining up and tacking a factory edge ⚡

Teachers had staff development day, so we had our own 😂

Nyshele brought her son in to put in some "work" at the shop

Family owned since 1983, bringing the kids to work is basically tradition around here

New to tinting? Trevor's team still wants to insure you 🙌

They have no problem covering first timers, they just ask for a little background first

Did you go through an academy or a class, work in a shop before going out on your own, or come from a similar industry? 🛡️

Marked your pattern? Here's how to cut it ✂️

Fold it on itself or leave it where it sits, either way give yourself about an inch over

Working on a customer's floor? Put a card underneath to protect it

Shave off the extra film up top, or it folds down, grabs contamination, and messes up your window

A signed waiver won’t make a lawsuit disappear 📝

But Trevor explains how it gives you a real shot at a defense, and why it matters whether your insurance company is defending you or looking for a way out of your claim

Coverage built for tint shops means your insurer is in your corner, not working against you 🛡️

You wouldn’t risk cutting your own hair… so why would you risk tinting your own house?

I mean, technically you COULD cut your own hair. And technically you COULD tint your own windows.

But after seeing Ricky and Josh’s haircuts… we don’t recommend either.

Some things are better left to the professionals.
