Read Caption👉🏼 Be honest. You see green volume and think, “Buyers are coming in.”

Then the stock falls… and you’re sitting there thinking, “What the hell did I miss?”

I used to read volume exactly like that.

Green = buying.
Red = selling.
Simple.

But then I realised I was watching the colour, not the price.

That green bar can show up while price is getting rejected. And that red bar can show up while the trend is still perfectly healthy.

This is where you get stuck. You keep adding indicators, checking more confirmations, and somehow the chart only gets more confusing.

Stop asking, “What colour is the volume?”
Ask, “What did price actually do with that volume?”

Read Caption👉🏼 I used to miss good trades simply because I had a job.

By the time I opened my chart, the stock had already moved. Then I’d think, “Damn… I was watching this yesterday.”

And you know what happens next?

You either chase it, or you tell yourself, “I’ll catch the next one.” Then the next one comes and you’re busy again.

That used to frustrate me badly. I didn’t need more stocks. I needed a way to trade without being glued to the screen.

So I built my swing-trading process around my life. I prepare when I have time, set my levels and alerts, and when the alert comes, I make the decision. No staring at charts all day.

Your job shouldn’t be the reason you can’t trade. And trading shouldn’t become your second job.

I know that feeling.

And then you start blaming the market.
“Bad luck again?”
“Maybe someone knew something I didn’t?”

But what if the trade was already weak before you entered?

That’s the part most of us miss.

You’re looking at the entry, thinking, “This looks good.” But did you check the market? The sector? The higher timeframe? Resistance? Volume? What’s the risk if you’re wrong?

Sometimes the best trade you can make is the one you don’t take.

That’s something I work on a lot with the traders I mentor. Before we talk about entering, we talk about when not to enter.

Because I don’t want you taking more trades.

I want you taking fewer trades that actually make sense.

How many EMAs do you really need before your chart starts confusing you more than helping you?

You add the 9. Then 21. Then 50. Then 200.

And when they all start pointing in different directions, you’re sitting there thinking, “Okay… so what the hell am I supposed to do now?”

I’ve had that problem too.

The funny part is, the EMAs weren’t wrong. I was asking all of them to answer the same question.

“Is this a good entry?”
“Is the trend strong?”
“Is this too volatile?”
“Should I get out?”

That’s not what they’re for.

I use 9/21 when I want to understand the move and pullback. 50 when the stock gets messy. 200 when I need to step back and look at the bigger trend.

Same lines. Different jobs.

And honestly, this is one of the things I spend a lot of time fixing with traders I mentor. Not giving them more indicators. Helping them stop second-guessing every line on the chart.

Trading with 9-5 ? You need to Read this👉🏼 You’re sitting on a 10% profit and earnings are tomorrow. You know the risk. So why are you still holding?

Because you’re thinking, “What if it runs another 15% after earnings? I’ll regret selling.”

I get it. You don’t want to sell a winner and then watch it explode without you.

But let me ask you something.

What are you going to feel when that same stock opens 12% lower tomorrow?

Now you’re not thinking about the extra 15% anymore. You’re just hoping it comes back.

That happened to me. More than once.

And the worst part wasn’t the gap. It was knowing I had a profitable trade and still turned it into a big loss because I didn’t want to miss out.

So I stopped trying to guess what earnings would do.

Now I decide before earnings: How much profit am I actually willing to give back?

Sometimes protecting a trade means accepting that you might miss the next 10%.

I’d rather miss 10% than watch a winner become a loser.

I know my rules work. I just keep breaking them when I’m scared of losing money.

That’s the part most traders don’t want to admit.

I’ll hesitate on a perfect entry because I want “one more confirmation.”
Miss the move, get frustrated, chase it.
Then when it finally goes in my favour, I take the profit way too early because I don’t want to give it back.

And then I sit there thinking, “Why am I so inconsistent when I already have a strategy that works?”

The uncomfortable answer? It’s not always the strategy. Sometimes it’s us.

That’s why I focus so much on execution with the traders I work with. Your rules have to be simple enough to follow when you’re busy, stressed, or not sitting in front of the screen.

Because knowing your rules is easy.

Following them when money is on the line is the real skill.
