I've always loved the armor from Bram Stoker's Dracula. Designed by the late Eiko Ishioka, it's a kind of strange avant-garde costume resembling twizzlers. All the costumes from the film are gorgeous. Her designs for the movie, The Cell are also incredible.

No Country For Old Men is such a brutal film. Javier Bardem is just on another level. He's so sinister in it that it could be a horror movie. I was trying to capture what a force he was in the film. And with that bizzaro haircut! I was also inspired by Texas sunsets.

Aeon Flux. Acrylic gouache and resin on wood. 10.25x12.25 framed. 2026. Sold.
.
Excited to be a part of the Reanimated, A Tribute to Animation show at Giant Robot. Opens this Saturday. Follow @giantrobotstore for info.
.
Peter Chung's world of Aeon Flux had such an impact on me growing up in the nineties. I think it was the first adult-oriented animated show I ever watched. I fell in love with how bizarre and original it was. The style was just so unique as were the characters and storylines. There still has not been anything like it.
