COBRA TOURNAMENT RECAP 🐍🏆

Yesterday was a special day for our program.

Did we bring home every championship? No. But yesterday was still a huge win for Earned Not Given. Watching these athletes represent themselves, their families, and everything ENG stands for made us proud beyond words. This program is about giving kids opportunities, building confidence, and watching them grow—and that’s exactly what we saw all day.

🩷 10U Girls: Finished 1-1 in pool play, battled the eventual champions, and made a playoff run. They fought until the very end, and we’re so proud of the way they competed.

💙 11U Boys: The record wasn’t what we wanted, but this group showed heart. We learned a lot, saw what we’re capable of, and know this is only the beginning. Their time is coming.

🩷 17U Ladies: What a day. They went 2-0 in pool play, earned a first-round bye, won a hard-fought semifinal, and came one point away from a championship, falling 7-6. They represented ENG with toughness, heart, and class.

💙 18U Young Men: After not playing tournament football for over a year, they went 2-0 in pool play, earned a bye, and battled until the final whistle in the playoffs. We couldn’t be prouder of their effort and resilience.

This tournament reminded us that success isn’t just measured by trophies. It’s measured by growth, sacrifice, and watching these kids believe in themselves a little more every time they step on the field.

We’re going to keep working, keep growing, and keep chasing championships. Yesterday was another step forward, and we’re incredibly proud of every athlete who wore an ENG jersey.

A little highlight from yesterday’s scrimmage with our ENG boys.🏈

Yesterday was another step in the right direction. It’s one thing to coach it at practice, but it’s a whole different feeling when you see the boys trusting the process, listening to their coaches, and bringing it to life on the field.

We’re getting better every week. There’s still work to do, but the growth is showing, and that’s what it’s all about. Keep trusting your coaches, keep putting in the work, and the results will keep coming.

Today we had @besociallyinspired_ come out capturing what ENG is really about. Not just highlights - but the WORK behind it.
It was our first day back on the field after a couple weeks off because of snow, and our first time officially getting after it at Roberto Clemente Turf Field. New field. Same mission.
Today was about getting back to the roots of football.
Footwork.
Catching drills.
Competitive reps.
Learning how to move the right way.
Learning how to compete the right way.
The energy? Different.
From the moment they stepped on the turf, the kids were locked in - high energy, smiling, encouraging each other, ready to learn and ready to work. Every drill had effort. Every rep had purpose. And through it all, sportsmanship stayed front and center.
This is what ENG looks like when the cameras are on - and when they’re not.
Building fundamentals.
Building confidence.
Building young athletes the right way. taken in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by @greg66244
