New wheels! Finally riding carbon! The stock dt Swiss alloy wheels held up great after ~13,000 miles, but it was time for a change. I don't want to burn through big-gains and rush to marginal-gains. I've slow played this hobby and it's kept it fresh and relatively affordable. This will delay any road bike purchase for awhile 😆. First impressions after just 3k feet w/ the Roval Terra CL: AMAZING 😃

Progress Report! I'm amazed at the miles, but slightly perturbed by the elevation gain. I really, really want to get 500,000 feet this year. I just don't think it's going to happen. I have tried my hardest to climb in the foothills on every ride. Just missing some of the major days that would help. That's okay, that's a goal. Not included in these totals are "Number of Sonic ice-cream shakes" consumed, which might be triple digits.

The second half of my summer has been hampered by the first half. 31 rides in a row over 1,000 feet has left me with a few lingering ailments. Don't buy bib shorts so comfortable you zone-out for an hour after every ride still wearing them! BAD rash, OUCH! I don't really know what social media is for anymore. But I enjoy having a place to share some of the things I see, and gain knowledge from others. Thank you for reading 📚 ❤️.

Today marks 2 years since I bought my Canyon Grail. Just about 11,500 miles and ~750,000 feet. Every mile ridden solo, or as solo as you can be in this cycling paradise called Fort Collins. While I'm not a social butterfly, I appreciate the work and advocacy generations of enthusiasts have put in to make it so special here. I've thought about getting a road bike, but i still have 7k miles to match my old Cannondale. Thanks for reading, ride on 🌞

Today was my 20th consecutive ride with 1,000ft plus of climbing. About 31k feet total in ~3 weeks. I feel like a damn mountain goat, living in the foothills on every ride. I've somewhat abandoned trying to push myself for endurance all-day rides. I just enjoy a a few hours of hard effort alone, and the clear mind it gives me.
