A collection of Lamarche's photographs shot over the last 10 years, 'Last Survivors' documents the names, tags, and writings hidden beneath decades of advertisements on New York City subway platforms. Inspired by the dynamism of his native New York City and its role as an incubator of the outlaw art of style writing, Greg Lamarche abstracts style writing’s visual language. Lamarche has worked as both fine artist and graphic designer since 2000, and has been featured in numerous publications. His design projects include collaborations with Converse, Facebook, and Nike. Recent exhibitions include ‘All Good Things’ at the Trustman Gallery at Simmons, University, Boston; ‘Track Work: 100 Years of the New York City Subway,’ at ACA Galleries; and the inaugural show at the Museum of Graffiti in Miami.━⁠Lamarche’s work is included in ‘Style Continuation,’ on view at ACA Galleries until August 21.‘Style Continuation’ features New York City-centric paintings, photos and prints. Last week this time I was in Paris for 48 hours and luckily got a chance to see the @beyondthestreetsart exhibition. Thanks again @rogergastman for the grand tour and congrats on this epic show. If you are in Paris this summer definitely check it out. by @gregbfb
