As my third year as liaison on Luna at @envisionfestival comes to a close, I feel a deep love for the jungle and what I get to do. Where the job description is mostly “figure it out.” Long overnights, sleeping during the day, constant curveballs, and the kind of pressure that shows you exactly who you are. I know what I’m signing up for every time. It’s never easy, but it’s always worth it. And every year I leave with something new for my bag of tricks that I didn’t have when I walked in. This year was the most successful in that category yet.The last 90 days have been heavy. I’m not turning this into a confessional, but I will say this: some of you showed up for me when it mattered. Real check-ins. Real love. I’m thrilled to announce that I’m stepping into the role of Talent Buyer at @cervantesmasterpiece It’s been a while since my last update, and now feels like the right time to reflect on how far we’ve come. Cervantes has always been more than just a venue to me; it’s a sanctuary where ideas flourish and community thrives. From the very first time I walked through its doors over a decade ago, I felt an unshakeable connectionThe evolution of SHIFT, nearly four years strong, stands as a testament to the power of creativity and collaboration you can only find at a venue as magnetic as Cervs. Watching it become what it is today has been one of my proudest achievements—a journey made possible by the unwavering support of mentors and peers who have been with me through every challenge and triumph.In my new role, I will focus on SHIFT and continue to bring fresh, innovative acts into the spotlight at Cervantes. I owe a heartfelt thanks to @marksman_evan my mentor, who’s always pushed me to expand my horizons and tackle obstacles head-on. Although following his path exactly won’t be a future for me. I know he will be there along the way as I forge ahead on my own. To @scottymorrill for placing trust in me when it mattered most and for encouraging me to craft shows that resonate on a deeper level. Peering beyond just the bottom line.There are literally too many people to list, but to the entire Cervantes team. It’s an honor and a privilege to get to do what I do with all of you. Lastly, my partner @khaligotinsta , without you none of this would be possible. I love you.In other News, I have been working with two phenomenal artists for the better part of a year, and I can finally let the cat out of the bag!@indobeatsmusic and @nueqmusic are two of the most exciting up-and-coming artists in their respective genres. The journey of booking them has already been an enriching experience (to say the least). I will never forget the thrill of choosing @chmuramusic as the opener almost exactly three years ago to the day. It was the first time @cervantesmasterpiece allowed me the privilege and that moment was the spark that ignited my incredible journey, a pursuit of excellence. Watching his meteoric ascent has been nothing short of magical. Now, seeing him headline his own Friday night show, complete with every bell and whistle, feels like a cosmic high-five from the universe.Leading this event is a profound honor, a testament to the paths we’ve walked. The lineup is a stellar array of rising talent, each one a visionary in their own right.Even the sound—the pulsating heart of the show—will be provided by talents whose musical journeys I’ve passionately supported. What an incredible weekend we just shared! There are too many people to thank individually, but a huge thanks to everyone @cervantesmasterpiece & @riverbeatscolorado To all of the volunteers, staff, and those who came just to enjoy the music. You all made it unforgettable.We are so fortunate to have these moments to celebrate life and each other.In the spirit of gratitude, I’m excited to announce the finale of our Pool Parties for the year.GRLL SMTH has been a hallmark of our Denver summers, and this time, we’re taking it to a new level (no pun intended), a dozen stories up in the sky on a Rooftop.You can expect an unparalleled experience with an amazing lineup featuring some of our most talented friends and artists. Today is the day we kick off Tuesday Tea on a Thursday as part of SHIFT Thursdays, and I couldn’t be more excited. Our own Nicholas Phillips is reviving this classic tradition. Organizing events in Denver’s underground music scene always comes with its unique challenges and triumphs. For these next couple of shows the journey has been particularly noteworthy. This Thursday and Friday mark major milestones for pretty much all of the artists, and I couldn’t be prouder.✨ Thursday Night: ATYYA - The Indivisible Tour ✨ For the Largest @_atyya_ show in Denver to date, we have a stacked group of artists including the @cervantesmasterpiece debut of @indobeatsmusic. We also have the talented contest winner @mayple_dubs kicking the night off, along with performances from @milanobeats and @charlesnimbus Plus, @hmngbrdproductions will be coming in clutch to help with the Thursday aesthetics. Ensuring an unforgettable experience.🔥 Friday Night: K.L.O. ❄️ - What Blizzard? - With a lineup so solid that not even a Snow Storm could change it. Friday night keeps the energy high with @klonoise featuring the powerful Funktion-One Sound by @losthorizonproductions The sensational @nueqmusic will be on the lineup alongside @base2_ , and on direct support duty is @jon1st Who literally went to grade school with @lone_drum and believe me they’ve got some wild stuff planned for us… I’ve seent it. t’s @khaligotinsta Birthday!!! Decided to surprise her with a trip to the Mines, which have been closed for decades, but we found a Troll 🧌 I thank the universe everyday that you are in my life. You are my Rock (no pun intended) and my favorite person. I love you more than you could ever know. I cant believe it’s already been a year since we celebrated our born days (4 days apart). Probably has a lot to do with the fact that I have the most amazing time with you no matter what we do. Although I prefer things like this troll adventure, I would go anywhere and do anything with you because it only needs you to make it special.
