A year ago, we spent a hot, sweaty Miami day in a junk yard shooting a music video for @jquiles + @rawayana . Surrounded by great people and grim it was the best time.

NEW PROJECT || When my friend @mattluem asked if I wanted to shoot a black metal tone poem in Maine, I didn’t hesitate! This experimental film is a visual companion to @whatsthisbuttondo.io audio plugin, Left Hand Path. We went in with only a blueprint and responded to our surroundings and subject to find inspiration. We knew going in we wanted to mix black and white with color. That evolved to incorporating black and white with splashes of color for key moments. I didn’t want it to feel cliché with objects being in color, but instead wanted light to illuminate parts of the frame in color. Our colorist, @mesgen.gebremeskel , made us a LUT that only showed us color above a certain IRE. That allowed us to create the look on set and we later finessed it in the grade. This one filled up my cup, and I’m grateful to Matt for brining me along for a ride. Also, a big thank you to our buddy @mikebowesinsta for all the help you gave us, and to @rulecamera for the gear and support! Check it out—link in my bio

Been off of instagram for over two years now, so it feels appropriate to post stills from a music video I shot two year ago today. Cheers!

Here’s some screen grabs from Bounce, a short film I had the pleasure of shooting for @nortondirector . It was great to get to work on a narrative project for a change and do some more subtle and nuanced cinematography compared to the usual work I get to do. These stills really don’t do the tense world that Norton created justice. Hope you’ll check the film out! Link is in my bio. And as always, none of this would be possible without the support of an incredible crew and amazing vendors.

Like most people, I’ve really been missing work—being with friends and creating beautiful images. This is from the last job I did before the pandemic hit (which was announced on my birthday of all days) for @contentmodemagazine with @eizagonzalez with one of my favorite people to collaborate with @sophiiieeehart . Can’t wait to get back on set together!
