#PersonalPost Last month I got baptized again (the first time was when I was child) and I rededicated my life to Christ.
I remember a time when I stepped away from the froth because “I didn’t want to be controlled by an invisible authoritarian who placed limits on my thoughts and desires”. However, at this point in my life, I couldn’t be happier and more willing to submit to the restorative and protecting authority of Christ. I realize now that Him seeking my submission was never about “control”, but refinement and reconciliation with our creator.

The thing I love and appreciate most about Christ is that while He definitely has standards and requires change and submission, HE ACCEPTS US WHERE WE ARE RIGHT NOW IN THIS MOMENT.

I received His salvation immediately the moment I decided I want a mutual relationship. Sanctification (becoming more like Him) is a life-long, moment by moment, day by day process that requires being intimate and prioritizing spending time together (being diligent in studying and understanding His word so I can actually learn and know His ways).

It’s our trust and obedience that He desires, not our perfection.

So happy to have rededicated my life to Him and to be at an awesome, Holy-Spirit filled, Bible teaching and believing church where I can live and walk in sanctification with other folks on the same journey. taken in Nashville, Tennessee by @gregoryjharrison
