Our 9/2 anniversary

some people are lucky to find a friend
Some people get lucky in finding a date
Some people like me are blessed to have xperienced a partner, a chaotic collection of ideas, a true teammate, a best friend, a safe space, a ginger ale thief, a chef … a turn down the ac it’s too cold in here … a fashion icon, a philanthropist who gives more of themselves at times then they ask in return.

some people like me are blessed to see the side of the world doesn’t get to know, the compassion, the worries, the fears, the random dancing, the youthful exuberance, the “I hope you know them books like you know them songs”.

Nine years is a long time to get to know someone and every day I’m still learning you.

Two years somehow was flown by… and yet that’s feels like the easy part, not because marriage is easy (because it’s daily it requires putting in work and a lot of frustration caused by me) but because in all our Sagittarius/Gemininesss - I still look forward to waking up 60 years down the line you being copilot to the the car … and choosing to arguing with no one else but you over what we want for dinner. ♥️

Meet DJ GREGORY WILSON, the Brooklyn-born artist, producer, and DJ bringing the vibes to The Confidence Fest Grand Opening Party! Born and raised in Fort Greene, Gregory knows a thing or two about making Brooklyn MOVE. From Hip-Hop and R&B to Afrobeats, Dancehall, and Soca, his sets are all about bringing people together through music.

And his résumé? Yeah, he’s been OUTSIDE. 😏

From performing at the legendary S.O.B.’s to working with lululemon, rocking stages in Times Square, and taking his talents internationally, Gregory has been making his mark.

But what we love most? His approach to music is rooted in joy, culture, community, and unapologetic self-love.

Sound familiar? 👀 That’s exactly what we’re building at KGC Pilates and Wellness Club.

So of COURSE we had to bring some Brooklyn energy to our grand opening. This isn’t just about opening a Pilates and yoga studio. It’s about celebrating the people, culture, and community that make this borough what it is.

And we’re going to have a GOOD TIME doing it.

Labor Day weekend the people are outside tonight all roads lead to @therogersgarden tonight we have music by @gregorywilson and @__djmali__

we start the vibe from 9pm and we up till we feel like it… Or the neighbor shut us down.

Dear Road,

From the day we first met you have given me life, joy and strength I didn’t know possible, you have made the dark moments bearable, and joy sustaining, and the freedom to exist in a way that is rare when you live your life in a black body. But this weekend you gave me another first, a time to publicly say thank you, a time to share all you have taught me, and a time to inspire others as you have me. In my years of DJing full time he career full time it is a highlight for to also share this moment with my brothers.
We laughed, we cracked jokes… we made memories and brought joy in front of millions of people who never would have heard of this glasses wearing Brooklynite…

To @tearsmas thank you for including me in this years @nhcarnivalldn to @hugh_doulos thank you for the opportunity.
