#fbf to photos I've taken of so many of my lovely lady friends. I literally have not shot any photos like this in 2023 which is very very unusual but shows you how much I'm working and how torn up my creative soul is. I get way more creative in the winter as the bleakness of the environment speaks to me. So I'm sure you've probably noticed over the years that I love capturing the energy or the essence of people in my photography. You might have also noticed that I've been doing a little different aspects with what I've mostly been known for prior of capturing you all having fun on a dance floor or shooting live events. Just in case you missed it I stepped away from shooting dance nights regularly to focus more on me and for me not to become stagnant in what I capture with whatever camera I have in my hand. This is why I bought a Fuji Instax Mini Evo camera as it allowed me to be even more engaging with whomever I'm speaking with or around. Especially when they don't know me and I'm physically just meeting them for the first time and loving their energy. What makes the Mini Evo camera so special is first off it's small and not intrusive like a big camera . Even though I can still be really close and capture what I want with my regular camera as I still mostly engage my subject with the camera not blocking my face and shooting as they say from the hip. Which in essence means I'm aiming my camera for the photo i desire without looking through the lens. This keeps my subject relaxed. ( probably also helps that I smile a lot) But the other great thing about the Fuji Instax Mini Evo camera is not only does it shoot instantly but you can print the photos you take on instant film right now. ( think Polaroid) which I can give to the person or people right now. What makes this also different is lets say there are four people in the photo. Well I can literally print the same photo four times so they all individually have a copy. Does this mean I'm basically paying them to shoot a photo? Yes it does but I'm massively rewarded in seeing their faces of happiness for getting this unexpected gift for the day. Especially when so many people never get their photos taken or they only really see themselves digitally through their phones or computers. Now you are holding a physical copy of your existence in this moment right now that I hope will be a cherished moment even just for a minute. The @artcrafttheatre is my absolute favorite theater. They are a volunteer based theater that mostly shows 35mm prints of nostalgic films that we all know and love. Your ticket also gets you entered in a drawing to win one of four giveaways of prizes that have a nod to the movie being shown. But as a word of caution don't stare at the prize wheel as you could become " MEMORIZED". They also give away prizes to furthest traveled and to a member of the membership club. Plus they have the best locally grown and internationally known popcorn. All this for a measly 5 dollars for seniors, 6 dollars for adults 4 for children. Plus concessions are cheap like you can get a medium popcorn and medium drink for 8 dollars. There's a kids pack with small drink and small popcorn with a box of candy for 8.50. Needless to say you can have a wonderful time in a over 100 year old beautiful theater. I saw both American Werewolf In London and Wallace And Grommet and The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit this weekend.

On Tuesday I got to hangout and see my friends @russiancircles play a sold out show at the @thehifiindy . I've been friends with the band since they first started back in 2004. When they were playing much smaller shows like the living room of the old ' Secret Location '. Matter of fact my business card that I used to have was a picture of @mr_mike_sullivan from when they played at the Major Taylor Skatepark. It's been wonderful seeing these guys make it as you won't hardly meet a nicer group of musicians or just humans.

Whatcha looking at punk?
One thing I also love about @blinkcincinnati is all the other wonderful things that go on besides the art and light installations. The Asianati Night Market ( Asian market) in the Fountain Square district had nightly performances. On Friday night they had this group of Lion Dancers from Dayton,Oh. Au Lac Lion Dance Association
It's crazy that the performer in back stays bent over the whole time as the performance was rather long. It definitely was a nice start to the events Friday night.

One of the best things about the Cottage Home Block Party is seeing friends. It is seriously one of my favorite events to go to every year. If you have never been then look it up as it's always super positive and the best to do before Halloween.

Since it's the Spooky season here's an old video of mine of my friend @spooky_fitzgerald in a cornfield. Per usual the cops were called on me and stopped but had a laugh about it and drove off. Now we did have a machete which I told her to drop when I saw them coming. I'm amazed they didn't say anything about the fake blood. by @gregthemayor

I got to ask the actress Diane Franklin ( Monique from Better Off Dead) why the Director Savage Steve Holland only directed the two great films. Which are Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer as they are both wonderful 80's films. She kind of misunderstood my question thinking that I meant a sequel. But I actually meant why didn't he direct more movies in general. Either way it was awesome to get answers still and some behind the scenes tidbits. Another cool thing is the coat she was wearing was the actual coat from the movie. I actually was wondering that when they mentioned it was. What's also nuts is Savage Steve was only 24 when he directed Better Off Dead and John Cusack was only 17. Diane said she was a little older than John then. I'm going to post the whole Q and A that I recorded on my YouTube. I'll post it in the comments if you are interested in anyway. by @gregthemayor

Chhhhrrrrriiiiiissssstttmmmmaaaaassssss.......what you see here is the actress Diane Franklin (Monique) from the movie Better Off Dead. I had asked her to do my same stance different places with me, which she kindly did. But then she said let's do one more and told me to squeeze her cheeks like the line in the movie. Where Ricky's mom is squeezing her cheeks and saying Christmas. I love that this was her suggestion so I'm posting it. Skyline Scares showed the movie Better Off Dead with a Q and A afterwards this afternoon at The Strand theater in Shelbyville,In. This was part of their skyline Scares weekend at the Skyline Drive -In. She actually answered one of my questions and was the nicest lady. She gave us all the treat of a lot of stories from the movie and a few from behind the scenes. It was definitely a fun afternoon watching one of my favorite movies. You can still meet her for the last night out at the @theskylinedrivein

Sara (apolysis) standing on a bunch of hair school mannequin heads that were given to me by my other friend Sarah. I shot this photo when they had the roads messed up from construction the first time of many to make the water runoffs for the sewers on the corners. Fountain Square has been hit several times with road closures over the years and it has caused many businesses to close because of it. The roads just finally opened back up 6 months early only for them to be talking about closing both Bridges from downtown towards Fountain Square soon. The Square has a hard enough time surviving without making it near to impossible for people to be able to even get there. So make your voice heard to the department of public works and tell them to go back to their original plan of closing one bridge at a time. Not both at the same time. Anyways here's a photo of mine to get your attention to the matter.
