VANTAGE POINT, SYDNEY ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Greg Wood For Still Point, Greg Wood answered a frieze at Villa Alba with the Scottish Highlands and the legend of Rob Roy. Vantage Point brings him home, to Dja Dja Wurrung Country in Central Victoria, where he lives and paints. These are not depictions of particular places. Light, season, atmosphere and distance keep the familiar shifting, and in the studio observation folds into memory, feeling and imagination. His subject is the space between seeing and interpreting: what he calls “the quiet, ongoing process of looking again.” In 2022, it won him the John Leslie Art Prize. 152 - 154 Jersey Road, Paddington Sydney 2021 Thursday 15 - Sunday 25 October 2026 Enquire via info@otomys.com #Otomys #VantagePoint #GregWood #SydneyArt by @gregwood_art

. GREG WOOD ARTIST TALK TODAY 6 SEPTEMBER FROM 2PM Please join us for Greg Wood’s artist talk today. Greg Wood will be presenting his latest exhibition, Night Shift. The artist talk will be followed by a Q&A session where you will have the opportunity to engage with the artist. Light food and refreshments will be provided. Greg Wood's body of work explores the notion of landscape at night, examining how ways of seeing are experienced through darkness rather than direct observation. These paintings investigate the shifting nature of perception after light fades, where familiar forms dissolve into shadow and certainty gives way to ambiguity. It is through this approach, the works invite viewers to engage with the landscape as something sensed and felt rather than fully seen.
