What a blessing to host the @newhope.west photo team in our home! It was such a fun time of fellowship, food, and just being together. We look forward to many more of these gatherings in the future!

From Summer Camp to Cowboy Church!

At the end of August, Cody, Joel and I all got to be at summer camp together. Joel was a camper. Cody was on photo/media team. I was on the work crew. Man, oh man, was that special!

Today, at New Hope West, we had Cowboy Church. Cody did photos, and Joel got the privilege of playing with some amazing musicians in the worship band this year. I got to hold a baby goat. 🐐😊 I think I want goats now.

Thanking Jesus for these special times with our kids/sons. (They’ll always be “kids” to me.🤍)

We got to celebrate our Joel turning 17 yesterday!
It was spontaneous and last-minute, but sometimes that’s the best way to do it. Thankful for these people we get to call friends and do life with!

Happy 17th birthday, Joel! We love you! by @gressangela

We moved in to our house!

When we started this journey 2 years and 2 months ago, we had NO idea how it was all going to play out. We had our hills and valleys; our heads were up, and they were down. Our faith was tested to the max. We had hopes, plans and dreams, and continually had to trust God with all of it. Through it all, the Lord had us in His care. He was faithful. Look at what God has done! (Hallelujah!)

(P.S.) Happy anniversary Jason! ♥️

October 2024 — The Present

“Hard” doesn’t even begin to describe this journey our family has been on for the last year and five months. Each step of this process has been HARD. But… it has also made us stronger. God gives us the momentum, provision and strength to continue moving forward.

*Don’t quit when things get hard.

• MERRY CHRISTMAS 2025 • From The Gress Fam•

@codyg_media gifted us a family photo shoot for Christmas this year. What a sweet way to document how faithful God has been through this journey, so that we don’t forget to remember! by @gressangela

Whew! I don’t know what got into me this morning. This song got a hold of my heart…reflecting on life, out here in the rain, how good God has been to my family and I.

Like the song says…there’s nothing wrong with Christmas lights, caroling, giving gifts. But let those things remind us of the true light of the world and the best gift ever given.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” ~John 3:16

Steve Kenny, thank you for always believing in Joel and taking the time to work with him. You are helping shape and develop him into this young musician. by @gressangela
