New office…insane…. I’m a Disney cast member 🥹🏰✨

In the past year, I was facing countless of rejections to the point of questioning if performing was still what I wanted to do. I knew what I could do, I knew what I wanted, and God knows I worked really hard and smart. But what was the point if I couldn’t be stable going for a dream that didn’t want me and took a lot from me?

This audition was my last audition in the UK, and it was on the day of my flight back to Manila. I got the offer three months later and it’s more than I have ever hoped for. Endless thanks to my family for your unconditional support. You really believed in me even when a lot of the times I didn’t. @josephroquim @toni_eves28 @vic.taking.pics @hazelmayroquim @roquimtisha

Life moves in mysterious ways…sometimes I really don’t understand it. But trust it will be sweet when you have faith and follow your heart. God won’t put a dream in your heart for nothing.

It’s 1am and I’m writing this. She’s teething and in a couple hours, she’ll call out for some cuddles. My baby’s about to be 8 months, and then a year, and then so on. She’s growing her second set of teeth, and she’s now trying to stand.

I just want to soak in every young moment before time comes she won’t need me to cuddle her to sleep anymore. 😭❤️‍🩹 by @gretlmayr

As parents, we focus on protecting our children from what could hurt them on the outside. But sometimes, we don’t realize the deep impact we ourselves can have on their inner world.

We can’t protect our children from every hurt. But we can take responsibility for the hurt we might unknowingly cause and pass down.

Everyday I think, I really want to be a better person for my daughter.

Did you know that puppies and other young mammals that receive more maternal licking and nurturing tend to grow up less fearful, more exploratory, and more confident? This suggests that early responsive care helps shape the developing nervous system.

We’re big in intentionally raising our baby not only physically healthy but emotionally and mentally thriving as well. Research in attachment theory has consistently shown that babies whose caregivers respond sensitively and consistently are more likely to develop secure attachment, which is linked to better emotional regulation, healthier brain development, confidence, resilience, and healthier relationships later in life.

Things we do to support a secure attachment to our baby:
✨ Respond to her cries consistently and promptly instead of ignoring it
✨ Shower affection often
✨ Make eye contact during feeds
✨ Talk, play, and sing to her throughout the day
✨ Follow her cues for sleep and feeding as much as possible
✨ Create calm, predictable routines
✨ Let her explore independently while staying present
✨ Repair after stressful moments with extra connection

The goal is not perfection. It’s presence and consistency, and it starts from Day 0. These simple moments matter the most. 💖 #parenting #secureattachment by @gretlmayr
