The New Jersey to Iowa pipeline continued on Monday evening, as Delsea Regional High School product Greyson Pettit announced his commitment to the Hawkeyes.

Now the fourth member of Iowa’s 2026 recruiting class, Pettit’s late rise as a prospect culminated with last month’s improbable state championship run at 132 pounds.

thank you delsea wrestling❤️🤍…….

Ever since I was little kid coming to the high school state tournament and watching my mentors compete and dominate I knew I wanted to be there one day. It took a total of 12 years to accomplish that goal of becoming a state champion. From my freshman year not making the starting line up, to my sophomore year having a bad weight cut and rethinking the sport, to my junior year tearing my acl and lcl and really thinking that it was over, to my senior year and not giving up on myself and just believing in my self and hanging around THIS group of guys and achieving my goal of becoming a NJ STATE CHAMPION. I want to thank my teammates, coaches, family, and most importantly god for putting me and pushing me through these battles.
