🦊🐶From the moment Duke and Braylon met they were like Fox and the Hound. Maybe an unlikely pair, a Grehyound and Pittie mix but they were perfect. They took naps together beautifully and played fetch like no one’s business (Bray fetched tennis balls 🎾 and Duke fetched Bray 🤦🏻‍♀️). Watching them together in our new backyard was magical. The feeling of heaven on earth. 🤍

When we lost Braylon last month 🪽one of hardest part about grieving him was knowing Duke lost his bf, cousin and best playmate..

He was the best. The sweetest, goofiest, messiest boy. It feels unfair at times knowing he didn’t live a full life… but I know deep in my gut, and in the way Bray lived life, that life is not measured in numbers, but all the moments of laughter and outrageous stunts he’d pull! He never failed to make us smile. There was not a moment that he wasn’t loved deeply, our earth angel, we were so honored to love even for a period of time.

We love you our little Oreo, and we raise a tennis ball to you today and forever 🎾🌈

🫧Duke’s reminder to slow down 💟
Breathhh. What are you greytful for today?

As many frens know this past couple months have been an eventful one to say the least. We are SUPER GREYTFUL that Duke’s recovery is going well and we got the approval from our vet to take him to the annual Greyhounds Reach the Beach in Rehoboth, DE this weekend! 🏖️🐾😊

It’s the pawfect place to slow down and enjoy the little things in life 😌💛 hope you will stop by and say hi! 👋🌊

BIG NEWS: the Dukey kingdom will be having a new member in December!!! 🎉🎁👑 Duke will be promoted to “big brother”—hooray! We think he will be a greyt one too because he is so gentle, loves cuddles and is so patient (can you tell from the cookie modeling? 🙈)

We are super excited, but also know how big of a change this is! Nervous, excited, anxious, happy, blessed—all the feels!

Any quick tips for our family expansion? 💓

💚 Dukey health update! 💚

Hi frens, thank you for all the support during these past few weeks. Duke is doing SO MUCH BETTER from his initial pinched nerve in his neck/spine incident.

The pinch nerve lasted about 2ish weeks and toward the end was “healed.” We learned from X-rays that there was no spinal issues and no arthritis, which we are so greytful for!!! 🙏But we say “healed” because our vet says it can occur again, as senior pains do. He is still weaning off the pain/steroid meds

🤭 We’re being careful that Duke doesn’t overexert himself and and tell him to tone back the sassy snappys + “careful with that beauty” on a daily. He can’t help it!

💚There are some ongoing issues we are still trying to figure out, we learned that Duke lost a signicant amount of weight.

He is currently prescribed to eat 3 meals a day! (His best takeaway from any vet appt, he thinks). But we are waiting on TSH blood test because his thyroid number was low. We will keep friends posted on his journey!

But so far he has gained 4lbs back in just over a week, and it such a happy camper these past few days. We are remaining positive and greytful!!

💞thank you all again for the prayers and support, it means the world to us truly!

As it’s been getting a tad cooler in the east coast, it’s making us think of autumn. 🧣🍂We love dressing up Duke for all the different greyhound events! And boy has he had many! And another one in the works for October!

Here is and ode to his incredible collection throughout the years 🤩
