Pretty straightforward last leg to get home. It was hot! Hwy 41 is nice due to its wide shoulder but it’s so exposed. No escape from the sun. The right hand turn in Moriarty ment that the rest of the way home was all uphill! The only pic of the day was next to the house so I thought I’d advertise for Morningstar. Happy to be home. White Rock to Galisteo. 52ish miles. 2850’ climbing. It was hot! Set up my tent in a wind storm with rain on the way. At 8:45 pm, the thunder is tremendous! Right over me. At least the winds died down. taken in Santa Fe, New Mexico by @greywolf9596

Another 77 in the books. Rained on and off throughout the day. A few rain delays made the day longer. The brutal climbs compounded the time in the saddle. There were a couple of sections on hwy4 closer to White Rock that were so fun and fast I was yelling out loud! Long day - hotel stay. taken in Valles Caldera National Preserve by @greywolf9596

Oh boy. Same section that I did on the ‘22 Tour Divide but southbound this time. Luck was with me that the clouds formed and gave me shade for a few hours! Another 78 logged. Tonight, El Bruno’s ❤️ Tomorrow I head through the Jemez and to White Rock. taken in Cuba, New Mexico by @greywolf9596

Back out bikepacking. It’s been awhile. First two days were crazy elevation gains. Had a family who were camping near me by Hopewell lake give me a few bottles of water. Early today, a guy name Bennie was breaking camp and gave me six ice cold water bottles! Trail angels exist! Thanks to all of you. It’s been hot!!! Went north to the Jemez and joined up on a nice loop of the Caldera. Riders Panos, Zack, Rico and this little furry critter who tried to catch transport and a snack. He scurried away when it was time for us to resume rolling in search of an elk herd. taken in Valles Caldera National Preserve by @greywolf9596

In appreciation of the Grand Depart of the 2026 Tour Divide, I decided to do a 50+ miler on my mostly loaded Fargo. Weight training! Multi terrain and good amount of elevation. Definitely needed the ice fill in my hydration pack for the ride back up the canyon. by @greywolf9596

First ATM (Around the Mountain) of the year for me. Rode the Fargo for some weight training! The little creek up along Las Huertas is running which was a pleasant surprise. This little bugs trying to eat my face were active which did not surprise me and were annoying as hell.
