I got to play with the new Tone pro paints, I only got 15 minutes, but here is my two pence.

I actually like them a lot.

So the GW pots are still poo but that's the only downside I could find.

I picked to paint over the black sprayed miniture as this would give us the best view of this one coat coverage thing I have been seeing, it is not one coat coverage but the paint does have a really nice consistency and better self leveling.

I tried the blob it on bullshit I've seen online with the high vis green. It does not look as good as other people made it out to look, so there is a bit more to it than just blobbing it on.

The white was lovely, it took three layers to get a nice even and smooth coat, but it was over back, so overall, I'm very impressed with that.

I used the shade medium to make two shades. The first we will talk about is the Orange. Ten parts medium to 1 part paint. I just sloshed it on, and it went nicely to the recesses, so imagine the possibilities when you take your time. Also, yes, you can make your own shades by using water or whatever, but it's more advanced than just buy this pot and go nuts so that's really beginner friendly too.

The Blue was Blue shroom Banana Hammock ( 100% the real name, honest). I used paint pots 1,3,5 from the range. It was really easy to dry brush, no chalkyness and again super easy to use, I did some scratches and scuffs, some messy bits and some edge highlighting and then I made another wash with the darkest colour and it worked pretty well.

Next I grabbed a red and did a free hand lamenters heart on his sleeve... because they are the best chapter of space marines, and everyone else slurps farts that is why. It was very easy and a nice straight out of the pot consistency.

I actually think these paints are great! Really bright popping colours, very user friendly, they also smell funny, perfect in a cup of tea, but most of all they stop that stupid gw paint crap where the brighter you go the more pastel coloured the paint looks and I despise pastel colours.

In conclusion, I like em and I like turtles.
Thank you, warhammer leeds
