How long have you been burning on the inside without letting a single person see the smoke? You probably carry it well. Nobody would know just by looking at you. The conversations you hold, the way you show up, the composed version of yourself you present to the world every single day. But behind all of that something is consuming you. Quietly. Constantly. The Observant recognized these in themselves, and they changed them. See if any of these hit. 1 // You react before you think. Someone says something. A situation unfolds, and before you’ve even processed what happened, you’ve already responded, either from emotion or from the anxiety. From the part of you that’s still running on survival mode instead of clarity. 2 // You mistake your thoughts for truth. The self doubt tells you you’re not capable. The depression tells you nothing will change, and somewhere along the way you stopped questioning those thoughts and started building your life around them. 3 // You avoid instead of understand. The thing that’s hurting you, you don’t look at it. You distract yourself and you stay busy enough that you never have to sit with it long enough to actually understand what it’s trying to tell you.
