BMR Family! We are still in awe of how you all showed up and out to support our 2nd Annual Graduation & Fundraiser!

Congratulations again to our 2026 Justice & Equity Cohort. You all give us hope in the future we will inherit because of how each of you will pick up your piece of the work. We are so proud of your accomplishments and can’t wait to see how your leadership impacts the world.

During the event, we honored two dynamic leaders: Rev. Tanya Lozano Washington (James Baldwin Critical Patriot Award) and Jan Spivey Gilchrist (Nina Simone Impact Award). It was our good pleasure to highlight your leadership and service to our community.

To the incredible Ernest Crim III, your keynote is still pushing and challenging us to meet this moment with the clarity and the prophetic moral imagination of our ancestors. Thank you for sharing so much of your gift with us, Brother!

The Champ Is In High School!😆🙌🏾 MyKey means everything to me, so to say I’m proud of this kid falls incredibly short. I’ve only got four more years of morning worship, prayers and affirmations and I plan on soaking up every second. Parents got to attend mass with their Freshman today and it was dope that his football coach was the priest delivering the sermon. Father Taber came from Matthew 23:11-12 “But the greatest among you will be your servant. 1 Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be raised to honor.” Our village has been top tier in helping My’Kael reach this step and hear me when I say, we’re going to need you every step of the way on the journey ahead. St. Ignatius isn’t ready for what’s coming because we leave every environment better than how we found it. Excited for the growth! This picture is a lot lol. But on the real it feels like the most authentic representation of who I am. All I want to do is serve and love. For me it’s not that deep I’m trying to give every gift I have away to my people and love my people and let them love me. by @grindgrately
