friend @marcus_madrid and I competed in the Hyrox World Championship Doubles Men 50-54 race in Stockholm for the 1st time and landed on the 3rd place🥉with only 4 seconds in front of 4th place (sorry guys! 🫣This time we were lucky). We are very pleased with our execution and the result in a very strong field. Congrats to World Champs @tonycurtisocr and partner Tony. Maybe next time we will catch you 🤨😊 Thanks @marcus_madrid for teaming up with me. I consider myself fortunate having such a strong, fast team mate and friend on my side. Thanks @chasingbobbins for your support always and great footage you produce!
This concludes the competition part and now on to traveling across Norway.

Competed in my 5th Hyrox World Championship singles age group race this year in Stockholm Sweden. Finally back to the podium on 3rd place🥉HAPPY 😊!Compared with my 1st time, there are now many more and much faster athletes (73 finishers in my age group). I gave it my all and 2 guys were just too fast for me (congrats @jozekojc and Phil). Congrats to all 70+ finishers in my age group racing on this high level!
Great venue, energy, setup, entertainment! Thanks @hyroxworld!
Enjoyed Stockholm, the community and being with friends. Maybe see you next year in #hongkong

My preparation for this year’s Hyrox World Championship in Stockholm, Sweden June 19, is coming to an end. It was a tough one due to injuries, but ended with a positive trend. My weekly key workouts of hyrox pro simulation improved from 1:24 hrs to 1:14 hrs (@crunchsunnyvale). This is encouraging and indicates the possibility of placing top 5 (both in solo and doubles with @marcus_mardid). I could not have put more work into this. Time to charge up and prepare the mind for an epic battle.

Wanna get faster ~ track running. I have not done this in a while. It‘s time to make this a habit. There is a lot of time which can be shaved off in hyrox racing.

First time Hyrox Pro Doubles for @marcus_madrid and me in Anaheim. We did great and qualified for Doubles World Championship in Stockholm AG 50-54. Doubles is both chaotic and exciting. We had a lot of fun. Thanks for teaming up with me @marcus_madrid!

3rd day at #deka #worldchampionship got another win at the singles strong and a 3rd place at the doubles with my buddy @naumovskiorce. This ended an incredible race weekend for me earning the gold #triplecrown winning fit, mile & strong singles. Overall result is 5 golds and 1 bronze in 6 races, almost maxing out. I am grateful for the reward after leaving it all out on the competition floor. It was tough, especially the last ones being sore already at the start line.
Great event spending time with the #fitnesscommunity. Thanks to @deka.fit for providing an amazing #experience.

2nd day at @deka.fit worlds in Fort Lauderdale. The sports gods were good to me today and I was able to get gold both in deka mile singles and with my superb partner @spartandekadog. Again congrats to my relentless chasers @leifbikeman and @prokes.petr for causing me to almost pass out. 4 races down and 2 more to go tomorrow.

I am happy to share that my second pro hyrox of the season in Dallas went even better than my first one in Atlanta. Despite ongoing run injury limiting me to about 30 km treadmill running per week, I was able to go under 70 minutes (1:08:51). The gains came in sled pull and burpees which was my focus in the last 3 training weeks. Next race: Deka Worlds in two weeks. Let’s go!

I am happy to share that my first pro hyrox of the season in Atlanta went well, despite limited run training due to calf and hamstring strains. During the last 6 weeks I got in about 10 treadmill runs in total. This was minimal and I had no idea what would happen during my hyrox event runs. Surprisingly my run splits were pretty close to what they were during the last season. End result: 1 hr 11 min, first in age 55-59 and qualified for hyrox world championship 2026 in Sweden, Stockholm. I am looking forward to continue the momentum for upcoming races in Dallas, Anaheim and Vancouver.

After 5 weeks of injury I am glad to be able to run again since 5 days. So, today I did a quarter hyrox sim as prep for tomorrow’s pro hyrox in Atlanta. It went well considering lack of run training. Let’s see how my legs will do over the full course in race mode.
