Boy, did I learn a lot at the last @ncsection #CarolinaClassic match. And by “learn,” I mean I made a TON of mistakes and let my emotions get the better of me. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

Were there things outside of my control? Absolutely. But when it came to the things I could control, my skills, execution, and approach weren’t where they needed to be.

I showed up with the wrong mindset, allowed mistakes and frustrations to compound, and things went downhill from there. A good reminder that how you respond to adversity matters just as much as how you prepare for it.

That said, I appreciate the heck out of everyone who put this match together and braved the weather with us. @ikestarnes @allen.terrell and company, you guys are STUDS! Really enjoyed the variety of stages and had a great squad to share the experience with.

Took a few days off to reset. Back to practice tomorrow.

And a special thank you to @ryan_empirical_concepts for the much-needed pep talk. You’re the man! 🙏🏼

Thanks for letting an old guy practice with you @chad_2a_haze 🙏🏼👊🏼 Been working a lot on shooting and moving and it’s better but my draws and reloads have dulled. Gonna hammer these basics in dry-fire. @ncsection Carolina Classic is right around the corner! #WaltherPDP #outdoordyanamics 135gr by @griplookpressflo

Results are in, 66% voted for Snatch draw and 34% voted for Scoop draw. Appreciate you guys chiming in and received some thoughtful answers and feedback from shooters I respect. Played with it today in Live-fire practice and the consistency and confidence seemed to definitely lean the way of the “Snatch”. Interestingly enough, when hands AREN’T below the belt, I find “scoop style” approach to be the happy medium for me. Perhaps it’s scenario based? I’ll keep working on it. 🙏🏼👊🏼 by @griplookpressflo

So you chose to try to “look cool” instead of just shooting sooner?!

“Guilty as charged sir!” 😅😂

How many times have I compared this game to herding kittens?! Well, it’s like that. The Secret City Tenn Section Match was fun overall. Blending/moving & shooting needs work. Missing a 2 target position for 4 mikes/FTSA hurts kinda bad too I guess. We learned things. We keep on truckin fam. Shouts to the guys on the squad. 👊🏼 by @griplookpressflo

New sport. Same competitive mindset.

Kenny Florian spent years competing at the highest levels of MMA. Now he’s bringing that same drive and discipline to competitive shooting.

We’re proud to welcome Kenny to the Walther Performance Division and excited to be a part of what comes next.

My fellow Masshole 😆 and 15-year-old junior shooter @dj_marksman9 took 2nd in A-Class at Factory Gun Nats. 💪

He comes from an awesome, supportive family and has that Massachusetts grit. It was a blast squadding up, game-planning, and competing alongside him all week.

Keep an eye on this kid. He’s only getting better, and I’m excited to see how he continues to improve, evolve, and compete. 🎯 #uspsa #practicalshooting #factorygunnationals by @griplookpressflo

What an experience competing at the USPSA Factory Gun National Championships in St. George, Utah.

The setting, range and stages were spectacular. Just 18 months into competing, my first Nationals consisted of 3 days and 18 stages that tested me technically, mentally physically and strategically in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Every match does that to some degree, but this was on another level.

I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and excited to get back home, see my family and continue training and learning.

A huge thank you to @WaltherArms and @Outdoor.Dynamics @cpistemcells and @postural_pathways @pointblankrange_carolinas and my family for their incredible support and help in making this possible.

I finished lower than I had hoped at 71.38%, placing 27th out of 113 A-Class Carry Optics competitors. Disappointing, yes — but more than anything, it strengthens my resolve and gives me a clearer picture of where I need to improve.

I had an awesome squad, reconnected with some familiar faces and met a lot of great people along the way. My buddy @dj_marksman9 and his family were absolutely amazing. They made me feel like part of the family while I was here and worked just as hard, if not harder, helping us throughout the week.

Here are several videos and pictures from an unforgettable week. 🫶 Pistol: Walther 5” Polymer Match PDP. Ammo: 124gr #OutdoorDynamics. #WaltherPDP #USPSA #FactoryGunNationals2026 #PracticalShooting taken in Southern Utah Practical Shooting Range by @griplookpressflo

Vibes from Squad 807 at @Area6uspsa were HIGH, I repeat, HIGH! 🔥 The shooting community I have come into contact with has really been awesome. Have met a lot of excellent shooters and more importantly good dudes who are always willing to help. Even night before A6, had an invite to a great dinner with some really cool NC dudes. @ian_hall400 @theo_gioles @qskillzwfu25 @doubleactionshitass @perkuhlerk Was great to finally meet @targetacquiredtv who willingly gave up his food for me since I was without a lunch. If I don’t have your IG handle on here, my apologies, please lmk. Appreciate you guys. 🙏👊 by @griplookpressflo
