Full page layouts are very hard to post as something always gets cut off. But here is a sketching collage of my day around the D-Day beaches two days before an anniversary of the landing. It was a pretty crazy scene weather-wise, very similar to the actual landing weather. There were a large number of enactors and their camps as well as lots of young people who seemed to be wannabe enactors. It was weird but incredibly moving. I had been to different parts of Normandy before but not to these beaches. GO! Not even going to mention the cemeteries.
