6th in the world and Fibromyalgia.My world skate games journey has come to an end. I placed 6th over all. Missed out on making the finals due to copping a hit which caused me to crash. Yeah I got a bit angry, but after assessing everything I decided not to protest, it wouldn't have got me into the final, and it's all part of racing. I wanted to see the fastest in the world in the final, and Andre is young, he is the future of our sport, so I didn't protest and focused on the consi. Unfortunately we didn't get to race the consi but that was ok, I was torched and my ankle was bleeding from the crash. After qualifying 9th, I'm more than stoked to walk away with 6th. 6 months ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, it means I have chronic constant pain particularly in my hands and feet. It meant any sort of training was quite painful. I hardly did any muscle training, and the only other training I did was riding our local hills with thanks to our luge coach Ian Kemp.Weeks after WSG I was still getting over the endurance of competition. My muscles, hands, and feet still ache more than normal. But it was worth it. To ride with the best and finish where I did gives me confidence of where I truely stand on the world stage. I don't know what is next on my journey but I look to the future with confidence.A big thanks to everyone for all of the support, even if it's just been there just to listen, especially my wife and son. Also a big thanks to everyone who made Mich and Cam feel like family whilst I was in race mode.
