“YOU’RE SO STRONG.”

BABY, WHAT WERE MY OTHER OPTIONS?! 😭🤎

Some people see you continuing to show up and assume you’ve got everything under control.

They don’t see the days you’re exhausted, the things you’re trying to figure out, or how much effort it takes just to keep your life moving.

I’m 38, and this chapter has taught me that sometimes strength isn’t a choice. It’s what happens when life keeps happening and you still have responsibilities waiting on you.

And while I’m grateful I’ve made it through some difficult seasons, I’d much rather experience a little PEACE than constantly have to prove how strong I am.

Because baby, being the strong one gets TIRED too! 😩

ONE THING I’VE COME TO REALIZE ABOUT SUPPORT IS THAT EVERYBODY WANTS IT, BUT EVERYBODY DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO GIVE IT! 👀💯

I’ve supported people HARD. Shared their businesses, promoted their work, encouraged their ideas, and showed up when they personally reached out asking for my support.

But when it’s time to support something I’M doing?

CRICKETS! 🦗😭

And you know what? I’m not even upset about it anymore.

Because I’ve started looking at things a little differently.

Some people are so used to seeing you make things happen that they convince themselves you don’t need anybody.

They see your consistency. They see your discipline. They see you continuously showing up, even when things aren’t going your way.

And somehow, they interpret that as you not needing the same encouragement they constantly ask you to give them.

But here’s what I’ve learned…

Some people need your support to keep going because they haven’t developed the discipline to keep going without it.

They start things and stop. They get excited about an idea and abandon it. They need somebody constantly clapping, sharing, encouraging, and reminding them why they started.

Meanwhile, you’ve learned how to keep showing up whether anybody claps for you or NOT.

And baby, THAT’S THE DIFFERENCE! 💅🏽

I’m not saying I’m better than anybody. I’m saying I’ve learned that everybody doesn’t have the same level of commitment.

I’ve also learned that being supportive doesn’t mean I have to keep pouring into relationships where the energy is NEVER reciprocated.

People see the results of your consistency and forget that consistent people need support, too.

So I’m no longer keeping score, begging for engagement, or questioning why certain people never show up for me.

I’m going to keep building, keep creating, and keep supporting people when it genuinely feels right.

Because my success was never supposed to depend on who decided to clap for me. 🤎

LET ME ASK Y’ALL SOMETHING: Do you continue supporting people who NEVER reciprocate, or do you eventually stop showing up for them? 👀👇🏽

WHEN YOUR BACK HAS BEEN KICKING YOUR ASS FOR DAYS, EVEN A LITTLE RELIEF WILL HAVE YOU READY TO CELEBRATE! 😭🙌🏽

Y’all, these last couple of days have been ROUGH!

My back has been giving me problems NONSTOP. I’m talking about barely being able to get out of bed, struggling to complete everyday tasks, and having to think twice before doing things I normally wouldn’t even think about.

And baby, for somebody who’s used to being up, moving around, handling business, and doing a little bit of EVERYTHING, this has been FRUSTRATING! 😩

So when I tell y’all I was HYPED to talk to my chiropractor, I mean HYPED! 😂

Never thought I’d be this excited about a chiropractic appointment, but HERE WE ARE!

It’s amazing how quickly your priorities change when you’re dealing with constant pain.

At this point, I’m not asking for much. I just want to get up, move around comfortably, handle my responsibilities, and enjoy my regular activities without my back reminding me it’s there every five minutes! 😭🤣

One thing this experience is teaching me is to NEVER take the simple things for granted. 🤎

Life has really been testing me lately, and I’m not even going to pretend otherwise. 😩🤎

Between dealing with my back pain, motherhood, trying to build my businesses, and everything else life has been throwing at me, some days I barely have the energy to do the things I WANT to do.

But one thing I’m STILL doing is SHOWING UP FOR MYSELF. 💕

Even if that means getting dressed, taking a few pictures, filming a little content, or doing one small thing toward my goals.

And sometimes, getting myself together just long enough to take a picture is a whole accomplishment by itself! 😭😂

I’ve realized that being consistent doesn’t mean you have to operate at 100% every single day.

Some days I have 100% to give. Other days I might only have 20%.

And I’m learning to be okay with that.

Because behind these pictures, these videos, and these social media posts is a real woman dealing with REAL LIFE.

I’m not always feeling my best. Everything isn’t always going according to plan. And some days are just HARD.

But I’m still here. Still learning. Still creating. Still building. Still finding little moments to enjoy myself.

This season of my life might look a little different than I imagined, but I’m not giving up on myself in the middle of it. 🤎

And if you’re going through something similar, remember that resting when you need to is part of taking care of yourself, too.

IF YOU NEED A WHOLE GROUP OF PEOPLE TO GO AGAINST ONE PERSON, BABY, YOU’VE ALREADY LOST! 😭🤣💅🏽

Because why does it take FIVE of y’all to have a problem with ONE person?!

Now everybody’s on the phone, comparing stories, recruiting friends, and bonding over somebody they supposedly don’t like. 😂

And the person y’all are so bothered by?

Probably somewhere minding their business, eating good, sleeping peacefully, and completely unaware there’s a whole committee dedicated to discussing them! 💀

One thing I’ve learned is that shared dislike is NOT the same thing as genuine friendship.

If the only thing holding your little group together is having somebody to talk about, what happens when that person stops being the topic? 👀

Baby, find something else to bond over!

Because organizing a whole team to dislike ONE person is actually embarrassing. 😭🤣

Imagine being so invested in what another woman has going on that you start keeping tabs on her like it’s a full-time JOB!

And the whole time, she’s over there minding her business, living her life, and not even thinking about you. 😂

That’s the part that gets me!

I don’t need to compete with another woman to feel good about myself. I’m too busy trying to keep MY life together! 😭

Because baby, between these kids, these bills, my businesses, and everything else I have going on, WHO HAS THE TIME?!

Do crackheads say, “I can’t get high because I’m broke”? 🤔😂

HELL NO! They find a way EVERY SINGLE TIME! 😭🤣

Now, I’m not saying go out here making crackhead decisions, but BABY, we can learn a little something about determination! 💯

Some of y’all have been sitting on business ideas, refusing to post content, scared to start over, and waiting for the perfect opportunity.

Meanwhile, somebody with fewer resources and a whole lot more determination is out here making things happen!

You don’t need everything figured out. You need to START with what you have and figure the rest out along the way.

Don’t let a crackhead out-hustle you when it comes to YOUR dreams! 😂💰

The money isn’t going to chase itself, the business isn’t going to build itself, and those goals aren’t going to accomplish themselves!

MY AFTERNOON WAS BOOKED AND BUSY! ☕️🚗💕

One thing about being a grown woman, the errands NEVER end! 😭🤣

Started my afternoon with a much-needed coffee run because baby, I needed a little something to keep me going!

Then it was off to my chiropractor appointment. I’ve been dealing with some back pain lately, so taking care of myself has become a priority. 🤎

After that, I had to make a stop at the bank.

And just like that, my entire afternoon was GONE! 😂

I’m learning that every productive day doesn’t have to involve sitting behind a computer or working on my businesses.

Sometimes productivity looks like handling your responsibilities, taking care of your health, and getting those little things checked off your list.

This fall, I’m really trying to find a better balance between taking care of BUSINESS and taking care of ME. 🍂🤎

Now I’m ready to sit down somewhere and mind my business! 😭🤣

Anybody else leave the house to run a few errands and somehow lose HALF the day?! 👀👇🏽
