Happy anniversary my love. It’s an absolute gift to get to witness you every day and have you as my closest buddy. Thank you for inspiring me and others to lead with curiosity, honesty and love. For being a goof with me. From brushing our teeth to dancing through the subway, to sneaking snacks into the cinema, to finding the spaces that uplift us and celebrate our queerness and feed our soft bellies, I am never at a loss. And it’s within all these experiences that we face the grittiness too. I am truly less afraid now.
Let’s keep dancing. Let’s keep making city sirens violins and sea sirens our friends.

Arty queers. Poetics. Nine months of play across disciplines. We’ve shared research in many forms. Now we share what it became and launch a website archive that documents process and failure, widening our queer poetics together.
An evening of readings, performances, and conversation. The Queer Poetics Research Group presents work on Cartoon Logic, Mistranslation, Language As Fetish, Puzzle and Performance, Rewilding Mother, and Speculative, Erotic Chaos…followed by a Q&A and our website launch.
Who is Queer Poetics Research Group?
We are a community of neuroqueer artists and writers working across poetry, playwriting, performance art and design, meeting monthly to share practice and research. Inspired by the principles of slow-making, radical honesty and embracing queer failure, we pool resources, refuel our artistic tank and interrogate expectations of creative success. We recognise that our neurodivergence calls for a multidisciplinary, collaborative practice. Our work is guided by collective care, slow-making and anti-capitalist approaches to art and seeks to imagine better futures.
