self-love has been one of the reflections in life that i had much difficulty in registering— constantly distorting what i deemed worthy instead of accepting the beautiful complexities of simply being human. i can embrace the evidence that im actively opening my heart more to the idea as im nearing the end of my 26th chapter; happy to experience the rollercoaster of shedding/molding that come with self-love 💛 no matter how difficult it can be at times lol i’d be lying if i wasn’t struggling with this tug-of-war during the entirety of class 😮‍💨

// i could go on and on of the internal battle i have curated within myself when it comes to my relationship with dance, but i’d rather share my gratitude for KB who provided a safe space for us to remember that dance is a form of authentic expression and not perfectionism. you really spoke to my inner child that night who’s own drive to keep going was off of that perspective alone, and people like you in the community will never go unnoticed or unappreciated 🫂✨ thank you 4 u, @karysa.boger! 🫶🏼 //

different interpretations, same concept

• allowing/accepting emotions to flow instead of keeping them stagnant 🌬️ aka breaking the cycle of repressed emotions ⛓️‍💥
