Behind every great cup in our hoppers is a story, and today we’re highlighting one of our absolute favorite Bay Area roasters: Proyecto Diaz Coffee  @proyectodiaz Founded in Oakland by Fernando and his partner Hannah, Proyecto Diaz carries on four generations of family coffee heritage originating in Oaxaca. Between their direct-trade ethics and the warmth they bring to the coffee community, they’re partners we couldn’t be prouder to work with.  If you love the ritual of espresso without the caffeine kick, you’ve likely tasted their craft in our cups. We dial in their signature decaf, Ebb & Flow, every day on bar for rich, sweet, and balanced drinks. Want to brew like a barista at home? We also keep our retail shelves fully stocked with almost their entire whole-bean lineup—including popular single origins like their rich, chocolatey Ozolotepec.  Swing by this week to grab a decaf latte at the counter and pick up a fresh bag for your morning routine at home! by @groundedlivermore

I think we found our new favorite coffee shop in the Tri-Valley! We visited @groundedlivermore in Livermore for a caffeine boost and left with a lot more! This place is more than just a coffee shop. They also have plenty of non-coffee drinks, which is great for the kids, and such a wide variety of food! We started with a few coffee drinks: a hot latte and an iced Caramel Churro Cold Brew. For the boys, we ordered the house chocolate milk and a hot steamer with white chocolate. The coffee drinks really hit the spot and the boys enjoyes their fun drinks! After seeing the food display near the counter, we couldn’t help but try several items from the menu. We started with the Burrata Toast, which was amazing! The tomatoes were so fresh, and the balsamic glaze added a slight sweetness that brought everything together. We also tried a couple of their sandwiches: the Turkey Avocado Havarti and The Grounded Italian. The portions were very generous, and the sandwiches were so filling! And now for our favorite dishes! We really enjoyed the Smoked Salmon and Labne Sando and the Grounded Avocado Toast. Both were delicious and had a hint of an Asian-inspired twist. However, the Savory Oats were the big winner that day. I’ve never had oats like this before! The oats are cooked in chicken bouillon and topped with a fried egg, bacon, and kimchi. Such a delicious and unique combination, and seriously addicting! This dish is definitely a must-try! What a great find! . . . . . #coffee #morningcoffee #coffeshop #bayareaeats #bayareafoodie by @groundedlivermore
