"International Transgender Day of Visibility, often simply Trans Day of Visibility, is an annual event dedicated to celebrating transgender people raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people, and acknowledging their contributions to society."
Times have been scary as of late. We are fearing for our safety to transition, and be ourselves. That is what those of us who can be visible make it such a point to stand tall and speak up for those who can't. I am so thankful to be able to be myself. HRT truly is life saving care. And while it is not for every trans person it definately is for me. The performance I did this year for Transinclusive groups TDOV event, was the same as my Palm Beach Pride step down number. One of protest and endurance. One of resistance! A moment to send a message. Now we have to stand together more than ever. If you are able look into your local protests, be active in legislation! If you don't know where to look. I recommend @savelgbt @humanrightscampaign and @equalityfl for where local marchs and protests may be happening near you!

Who woulda thought that the nerdy king from South Florida would make it all the way out to New York? So many things I once thought to be impossible are proving to be within my grasp if I break that line of thinking. It's refreshing to be in a city where my gender expression is celebrated.

It's Hispanic Heritage Month!!
And these images are for the algorithm~

Half of my lineage hails from Nicaragua! And as much as I would love to say how beautiful the country is, and how much I love it. The situation is becoming worse with each passing day. Nicaragua is currently considered in Crisis. Many natives are fleeing to America due to the government actively committing crimes against humanity. The government is rapidly falling into authoritarianism. President Daniel Ortega and his wife, Vice President Rosario Muillo, have dismantled several branches of the government to acquire full control. Natives are being murdered, imprisoned, tortured, deported and persecuted for political reasons. Much of the violence is being directed at Indigenous and Afro-decent peoples. Invasions on their land, killings. Over 5,000 non-government organizations have been forcibly closed down. This isn't even something new. This has been gradually happening since 2018. The government has been working to silence human rights groups, women's rights groups, journalists, community, peasant movements, religious leaders, students, academics, and anyone who attempts to so much as speak against the current happenings in the country.

I fear I have been silent for too long. Maybe it's fear, maybe it's cause I pass as white and think no one will listen. If you find it in your heart to help, I implore you. It's a scary time in the world right now.

part 4 of building a costume out of records...
y'all I'm so upset that this isn't a productive update. I was so frustrated working on this that I was about to just walk away from the project in pieces on the floor cause it just WOULD NOT WORK. I have 24hrs before I can touch this part of the costume again so I'm going to focus my next update into working on more pieces for my arms and start the legs. This was defeating and I can only hope that when I check back in... that its actually glued together when I needed it.

oh my god do I feel crazy cause this is definately NOT gonna be done by wednesday like I thought when I started it. But I am determined and if Con Crunching has taught me anything its that if there is a will theres a way so I WILL do my best to reach my goal. Thank you all for following along.
