I don’t even know where to begin… what started as a “what if” and a love of blueberry cheese coffee cakes turned into the fastest, craziest, most rewarding 6 months of my life. 🤗

From the moment I read that Grove Street might be closing (and SLIGHTLY panicked about never having another coffee cake again 😅), to somehow buying the bakery just weeks later… to now standing here, 6 months in …it still doesn’t feel real.
*
In just over 6 months, we’ve been THROUGH it together. Broken equipment, early mornings, long days, sold-out cases, learning curves, big wins, little wins, and everything in between. And through it all, this community has shown up in ways I will never be able to fully put into words. 💗

You kept the recipes alive. 🍪
You supported our team. 🫶🏻
You showed patience while we learned. 💭
You reminded me every single day why this place matters. 🎂
*
Grove Street has been a cornerstone since 1996, and getting to be a small part of continuing that legacy, while also slowly making it our own, is something I don’t take lightly. 💕
*
I came here hoping to keep something special in the community, and somehow it’s become even bigger than I imagined. More connection, more growth, more purpose, and a whole lot more sweetness (in every sense of the word). 🍰
*
It’s been scary. It’s been exciting. It’s been FAST. I’m so lucky to have a great team behind me.
But more than anything, I am just so, so THANKFUL to be here.

🍪🎉Exciting News! 🎉🍪

We’re thrilled to say: Grove Street Bakery will remain OPEN with a new owner!

When the news broke that the bakery might be closing, one very passionate fan (and coffee cake enthusiast!) reached out immediately. That person? Elizabeth “Lizzie” Kalafut M.S, Future RDN — soon to be the proud new owner of Grove Street Bakery! 💚

We are so thankful to share the recipes and traditions with Lizzie, and will be helping her transition to ownership over the next month.
As many of you know, we bought the bakery in March of 2020 during unprecedented times. There has been incredible support from this community since the day we assumed ownership through these last several uncertain weeks. We can’t wait to show Lizzie how amazing you all are.

Here’s to continuing the traditions of Grove Street Bakery. Let’s make it sweet! 🍰
