28+ countries. 88+ cities. 10+ years of family travel. And we're just getting started. 🌍

Welcome to Growing Up Global!

We're a family of four with a shared love for exploring the world, discovering new cultures, and raising two little travelers who understand that there's more than one way to live.

For us, travel has never been just about checking destinations off a list. It's about the experiences that shape us, the people we meet, the perspectives we gain, and the memories our kids will carry long after the suitcases are unpacked.

We want them to know the world before the world tells them who to be.

After years of documenting our adventures, we're finally bringing them all together in one place. From family travel guides and honest travel tips to cultural experiences and the beautiful chaos of exploring the world with kids, we're sharing it all.

Whether you're planning your next family adventure or simply dreaming of one, we're so glad you're here.

Come explore with us. The world is too big to see it only one way. ✈️

Busan Sky Capsule tickets SOLD OUT online? Don't give up just yet! 👀🚡

We planned our trip to Busan, South Korea so last minute that every Sky Capsule ticket was already sold out online. 😭

But I had read that Haeundae Blueline Park releases a limited number of same day tickets at the ticket office. So we decided to take our chances!

We arrived in Busan at 8:30 AM, headed straight to the station, and somehow managed to score an 11:30 AM slot! 🙌

And I'm SO glad we did! 🥹

We had a private capsule just for our family, cruising along the coastline for about 30 minutes. The sun reflecting off the ocean was absolutely beautiful!

📍 Haeundae Blueline Park, Busan, South Korea

A few tips worth saving:
🚡 Book online in advance whenever possible.
🎟️ Sold out online? A small number of same day tickets may be available at the station.
⏰ Arrive early! They're first come, first served and aren't guaranteed.
🌊 We took the Cheongsapo → Mipo route and loved the ocean views.
🚂 You can purchase a separate Beach Train ticket to return.

Sometimes it pays to show up early and take a chance!

📌 SAVE this for your South Korea itinerary and SHARE it with someone planning a trip to Busan. They might thank you later!

Looking for family-friendly things to do in Seoul? Save this hidden-in-plain-sight experience for your South Korea itinerary! 🇰🇷

📍 Yeouido Hangang Park, Seoul

One of our favorite things about traveling with kids is finding ways to experience everyday life like the locals.

And this park along the Han River was such a fun way to do exactly that!

Here's what you can do:
🚲 Rent a family bike and explore the park together.
🍜 Grab some Korean convenience store ramen and enjoy it overlooking the Han River.
🧺 Rent a picnic blanket and little table to set up your own riverside picnic.
🌆 Enjoy the Seoul skyline while soaking in the local atmosphere.

No elaborate itinerary needed. Just a simple family experience that gives you a little taste of everyday life in South Korea.

📌 SAVE this for your Seoul itinerary so you don't forget it!

SHARE this with someone planning a trip to Korea. This is one experience they might not know to look for!

One day mom won't be able to travel the world with you anymore.. 🥺❤️

But I hope that whenever you travel, you find me in your memories and smile remembering that the most beautiful story of your lives began traveling together.

When you're in Seoul, you have to have a little K-pop moment!

Dua really wanted to do the "Jellyous" dance by @illit_official in front of something that screamed Seoul. We originally planned on Olive Young, but it was closed, so MIMILINE in Myeongdong became our backup!

What you can't tell from this video is how shy she actually was doing this in public. But she wanted to do it, and I'm proud of her for stepping outside her comfort zone.

@illit_official how did she do?

Planning a trip to Seoul, South Korea with kids? This is one cultural experience I wouldn't skip!

When we were in China, one of the things Dua really wanted to do was dress up in a traditional Hanfu, but we ran out of time. So when we planned our trip to South Korea, I made sure the girls got to experience wearing traditional Korean Hanboks!

We rented Hanboks, got our hair styled, explored Gyeongbokgung Palace, watched the royal guard changing ceremony, and wandered through the beautiful Bukchon Hanok Village.

And out of everything we did in South Korea, this ended up being one of the girls' favorite memories!

This is exactly why I love traveling with my kids. I don't just want them to see beautiful places. I want them to experience different cultures, understand their traditions, and appreciate the world beyond what they're used to.

📍 Save these 3 experiences for your Seoul itinerary:

1. Traditional Korean Hanbok rental and hairstyling
2. Gyeongbokgung Palace and the changing of the royal guards
3. Bukchon Hanok Village

Save this for your South Korea trip and share it with someone planning a visit to Seoul!

You can take Niyyah all the way to South Korea, dress her up in a traditional Hanbok, surround her with centuries of history, and she'll still find a way to get her TikTok dance in! 😂

@zaralarsson, Lush Life has officially made it to Korea!

The problem with shopping in Korea is that everything looks so affordable until you remember you have absolutely no idea how much you're spending.

290,000 won? Sounds reasonable. Throw it in the bag.

The currency conversion is a problem for future us. 😂

Anyone else suddenly lose all financial responsibility when shopping in another country?

My husband gets to be mysterious and live his life in peace. Meanwhile, I'm running an entire production company from my camera roll with 47 unfinished reels and no storage left on my phone.

One of us is on vacation. The other is creating the documentary.

Which one are you in your relationship?

I thought I was booking a relaxing Korean head spa. I had NO idea what I was actually getting into!

A 15-step scalp treatment at @parkjun2342 in Cheongdam, Seoul, and let me tell you, this is an experience worth adding to your Korea itinerary!

From a magnified scalp analysis to deep cleansing, exfoliation, scalp massages, and the most relaxing warm water therapy, every step felt intentional.

But what really made Park Jun Beauty Lab stand out wasn't just the treatment. It was how they welcomed our entire family. Rasel, the girls, and I each had our own personalized experience, and the level of care and attention they gave every single one of us was incredible.

This is exactly the kind of experience I love discovering when we travel. Something unique to the destination that the whole family can enjoy.

If you're planning a trip to Seoul, save this one! And tell me, which part of this 15-step treatment would you look forward to the most?

Thank you @parkjun2342 for hosting our family and making us feel so special!

We brought them to Gangnam. They brought the STYLE! 😂

@42psy42, your song came out before either of these two were born, and somehow they still know the assignment!

14 years later and Gangnam Style is still going strong. What other song from our generation has your kids dancing like this?

Some people come to Korea to stock up on skincare products. I decided to go straight to the source!

A skin analysis, AquaPeel, Onda for my jawline, and a vitamin skin infusion. I even included my pain ratings because that's exactly what I'd want to know before booking something like this.

Who knew one of my favorite Korean souvenirs wouldn't even fit in my suitcase?

Now I'm curious, what's the ONE thing you'd want to know before booking a skincare treatment in Korea? Pricing? Pain? Results? Or something else?
