These two don’t always see eye to eye, but I know without a doubt that God placed them in the same family on purpose. He knew exactly what they would need from each other, even on the hard days. What a gift it is to watch His plans unfold in their lives. So grateful He chose me to be their mom. ❤️

Happy Birthday to our beautiful Maleigha! 🤍

What an incredible gift it has been to watch God write your story and allow us to be part of it. I look at the woman you are becoming, and I see so much of His faithfulness. You are strong, compassionate, talented, and full of so much purpose.

One of the greatest honors of my life has been getting to be your mom. I love that God knew long before we ever met that you were meant to be ours. And I love watching you continue to discover who He created you to be.

My prayer is that you never lose sight of whose you are, that you walk boldly in the calling God has placed on your life, and that you always know how deeply you are loved.

You are such a beautiful part of our family, Maleigha. I wouldn’t trade a single chapter of our story because every one of them led us to you.

Happy Birthday, sweet girl. I love you more than words can say. ❤️

Starting Bible study today with these two by my side. 🤎 Kenna serving by loving on little ones while their mamas study the Word, and Magnolia getting to be one of those little ones. There’s something so beautiful about watching your children grow up learning that church isn’t just somewhere we go—it’s a place we serve, love, learn, and grow together. What a gift to get to do this alongside them.

Sometimes I look at our family and I’m simply in awe of God. Not because our story has been easy or because we’ve done everything right, but because I can see His hand so clearly woven through every single life in this picture.

God chose each of these kids so intentionally for this family—the ones born to us and the ones brought to us through adoption. None of it was accidental. Every personality, every story, every strength, every struggle… He knew exactly who belonged here.

When I think about adoption, I’m especially humbled. God loved these kids long before Kevin and I ever knew their names. He knew their stories. He knew what they would need. And somehow, in His kindness, He chose to use two very ordinary people as part of His plan for them to know Him, experience family, and see what the love of a Father looks like.

But I believe just as deeply that He chose our biological children for this story too. He knew they would grow up sharing their parents, their home, their lives, and their hearts. He chose them perfectly for this family too. They aren’t simply siblings to an adoption story—they are an intentional part of it.

What an incredible responsibility. What an undeserved privilege.

They may call us Mom and Dad, but God is the One who built this family. He pursued them. He pursued us. He brought all of these different stories together and made them ours.

I look at this couch full of people I love and think, Who are we that You would entrust us with all of this?

I will never get over the goodness of God.

“Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted.” — Psalm 127:1 NLT

He built this family. And I am forever humbled that He let Kevin and me be part of it. ❤️ by @growinguphall

Senior year. 🤍

I look at these pictures and see so much more than a beautiful girl in a pretty uniform/dress. I see the little girl we’ve spent years raising becoming a woman right in front of us.

As we raise our girls, I pray we teach them that being a strong woman isn’t just about independence or proving you can do hard things.

It’s about knowing Jesus.

It’s strength AND gentleness. Confidence AND humility. Poise, character, dignity and knowing how to carry yourself. It’s knowing when to speak, when to listen, when to stand firm and when to extend grace.

I want Kenna to know there is honor in being a godly woman. That femininity isn’t something to apologize for. That being a wife and a mother someday, if God calls her to that, is not “less than.” It is holy, important work. And if God’s plans for her look completely different than ours, I pray she follows Him there without hesitation.

More than any accomplishment, scholarship, career, sport or title, I want her to love Jesus.

There have been hard things. Pain most people never see. Growing pains, disappointments and lessons learned. But through every bit of it, God has been faithful.

So as she stands at the beginning of this next road, I’m not praying for an easy one.

I’m praying she walks it with Jesus.

That she knows where her strength comes from. That she chooses joy. That she lives differently BECAUSE she belongs to Him. And that the woman she becomes makes much of God.

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.”
Proverbs 31:30

What an honor it is to raise her. And what a privilege to watch her become a woman of God. 🤍

Friends: Kevin is looking for a full time job. It can be remote or here in Waco. He is a producer, filmmaker, storyteller, editor, branding strategist and was in ministry for 18 years! Lots of experience from working for the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, sports organizations and churches. He’s also a PA for Baylor sports. If you know of something that would fit his gifting or something you think he would be successful at, let us know! God uses our connections to provide provision and we are believing he will do that! If you don’t know of something, will you pray for God to make a way. We appreciate y’all!
