We’re not only celebrating all of our birthdays, including our guest artist this month @cidkushwizard, but also the anniversary of Subsurface itself.

@deependaudioproduction & @radiantlightcreations will be helping us beef up the production this month, so this one won’t be one to miss.

Last month was our first AH at its new home @growlerstavern & to be real I don’t think we’ve ever seen that basement so deep. Let’s run it back this month.

We got @brooklegends coming down from Raleigh to throw us 2 hours of what he does best & the homie known to be a bit of a legend himself @pattyxmillz opening up the night as well as our very own @arkivez__ closing out.

The support last month was insane fr, we can’t wait to see everyone in the basement again. Expect house, club, bass, tech and whatever else these guys have in their bags.

Last Thursday we held our first After Hours event at its new home @growlerstavern seems like you guys fw it 🫡

Every last Thursday of the month you can catch us down there from 10pm till 2am

Either way… After Hours is tomorrow night at @growlerstavern

Pretty sure we’re making a little history too. As far as we know, this is the first time anyone’s bringing music let alone electronic down into that basement. Come be part of it.

To kick off our first After Hours at its new home on Thursday, July 30th, we had to bring out the homie @jsmooth.dj to celebrate his birthday with us down in the @growlerstavern basement.

Jsmooth has been absolutely crushing it around town lately, playing all your favorite spots and collaborating with just about everyone in the scene. After catching a few of his recent sets, he’s easily become one of our favorite house selectors in Wilmington.

@nochasermusic, @arkivez, and @light.blue.lights will also be helping christen the new spot, so expect the genres to be all over the place in the best way. We’re seriously hyped for this one. More space, a bigger dance floor, and plenty to do if you need a break from getting down.

This isn’t the end of an era. It’s the beginning of a bigger one.

For the past three years, AFTER HOURS at Ivey has been home. What started as a small, free Thursday night get together turned into something way bigger than we ever imagined. We’ve met so many incredible people, watched local talent grow, and made memories we’ll be talking about for years.

As hard as it was to make this decision, we’re beyond excited for what’s next

AFTER HOURS is moving to @growlerstavern

A bigger space. Pool tables, shuffleboard, skee-ball, arcade games, darts… and it’s in a basement.

It only felt right to finally take Subsurface underground (Literally)

Starting this month, and every last Thursday moving forward, you’ll find us at Growlers from 10PM–2AM doing what we do best. Same energy & still 100% free
