Thank you @conservationnation @thewave_global for creating the unforgettable ‘Voices of the Ocean’, in the Library of Congress, Washington D.C. Wednesday night. It was a great honor for GRoW REEFS Founder @evelyntickle and her work to be included in the stellar ‘Innovation Reef’ of 5 companies, 5 displays, 5 presentations: @growreefs @coastalassembly and @coralvitareefs and FishEye. The immersive evening event celebrated the ideas and people shaping our ocean including scientists such as @dr.sylviaearle and storytellers @sytheauthor @tommustill and Lu Miller @lutimestwoo by @growreefs

GRoW is here at #asla26 EXPO‼️showing our products, describing our products and talking to #landscapearchitects about shoreline / reef restoration🦪🌊 Certainly a pertinent conversation in #californiabeaches right now with the extremely high waves wrecking beachfront property last week- time to take action🩵 #coastalrestoration by @growreefs

What an absolutely extraordinary week at the International Coral Reef Symposium in Auckland! Already looking forward to seeing everyone again at the upcoming Reef Futures in Mexico, where we’ll be presenting on how we’re adapting our biomimetic novel substrates for coral restoration 🪸

The conversations at ICRS were overwhelmingly encouraging, and we’re looking forward to all of the follow-up meetings that emerged to explore new research collaborations, field projects, and partnerships.

Thank you to everyone who shared their knowledge and took the time to connect. It was a privilege to be in the room with such a passionate and brilliant global community — 2,500+ ! — working toward more resilient oceans. Can’t wait to see what we’ll build together.

Last week at @braidtheory’s #Ignite22 at @altasea, we brought the Reef Tile™ and Reef Disk™ to the LA waterfront! Thank you to @ann.lee.carpenter at Braid Theory for her inspirational and productive work at AltaSea and beyond.

It was exciting to reconnect and catch up on the impressive progress of those we know from Braid Theory’s super fantastic accelerator and see so many amazing new companies and local leaders in marine innovation!

If we didn’t cross paths last week — GRoW Reefs designs and manufactures biomimetic infrastructure for coastal protection, funded by NSF SBIR-Phase II. Let’s connect!

More conversations to come 🌊 by @growreefs

Super excited to expo at the International Conference on Coastal Engineering #ICCE2026 in Galveston, Texas this Sunday through Tuesday (May 17 - 19)!

Please visit us at Booth 203 😊 Looking forward to connecting with old friends and coastal engineering colleagues! by @growreefs

For GRoW Oyster Reefs, celebrating Earth Day means celebrating the ocean. Our Earth, the Blue Planet, is ~71% ocean.

We’re grateful our new home base in Venice, CA is a stone’s throw away from the Pacific Ocean, where our CEO Evelyn Tickle likes to take her low tide walks and check in on the local bivalve community — as she did this morning!

Today — and every day — you can find us here, working hard to restore the coastlines we love and rebuilding the ecosystems that protect our communities, clean our water, and bring our coastlines back to life.

👆 Take a scroll and meet four women you should know.

A material scientist. An environmental toxicologist. An architect for aquatic ecosystems. A microbial oceanographer.

All founders running companies that stand to reshape the world as we know it!

This Thursday, we’re honored to be hosting four incredible women behind bold, nature-inspired solutions.

As our moderator Maëlys Renaud pointed out last week: only 2% of VC funding goes to women-led startups.

These are epic women building against the odds. Come meet them!

OK, here we are at the literal @worldofconcreteshow introducing GRoW’s environmentally positive, reef building concrete and Reef Tile to the concrete world, literally! So far, so good🦪‼️ by @growreefs

Super excited to be speaking tonight in Venice CA @wethecarbonauts about regenerating REEFS 🦪🪸🌱 & CARBON‼️ See you there👋 by @growreefs

Earth Night at the Laguna Cultural Arts Center- I was honored to be speaking about GRoW’s technology jumpstarting wild oyster reefs🦪alongside an amazing group of 5 panelists from Los Angeles, all focused on protecting and celebrating the Pacific Ocean from Heal the Bay. 🌊to the Marine Mammal Care Center🦭. The audience was super intelligent, involved and interested & @earth_boutique_official put on an amazing event in @lagunabeachgov - a community committed to a healthy ocean as witnessed by their Marine Protected Area 🐟🦈 and hopefully adding oyster reefs turning existing grey infrastructure into healthy blue infrastructure and in the upcoming estuary revitalization program👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 by @growreefs

GR🦪W has been busy! (So busy that I have not had time to post on social media😩) And, here is an update:) GRoW has applied for our NSF SBIR Phase 2 award - a fabulous 96 page document- while steadily working on finishing our NSF SBIR Phase 1. Both, working towards massive scaling of GRoW Reef Tile and Reef Disk production using insanely interesting technologies taking us from 250 units per week to 24,000 units produced a day, on site for large scaled projects- yippee!!! AND, we have just finished designing and have fabricated a mobile manufacturing system to produce the Reef Tiles on site, enabling COASTAL COMMUNITIES to produce their own Reef Tiles and Reef Disks! Many wins here for coastal protection with our nature-based solutions while rejuvenating the endangered wild oyster reefs - going BIG while staying small! 🦪🌱🌎🐠🦀 (see video of the scan of GRoW Reef Time with amazing oyster results! ) Contact us! by @growreefs

Honored to be selected by USGBC-CA (US Green Building Council) as their Trailblazer Award winner - as the Founder of Grow Oyster Reefs at NET ZERO 2024 in Anaheim, California 🩵🦪 I was a little tired after flying in from beautiful Jekyll Island, GA after delivering a paper at the International Conference on Shellfish Restoration🦪❗️ #netzeroaccelerator #usgbc #usgbccalifornia #usgbcla #icsr by @growreefs
