🦁 CHOOSE COURAGE MORE OFTEN THAN COMFORT.

Five years later, and I still stand on this message. Just had to revamp it 💎

Sometimes the limitations we spend years trying to overcome were never ours to begin with. They were fears, insecurities, and beliefs projected onto us by people who could only see life through the lens of their own experiences.

And sometimes those projections come from people who genuinely love us. But love doesn't automatically make someone's fears our responsibility to carry.

Growth is recognizing the difference between being protected and being limited. It's learning to trust your own capacity instead of living within someone else's perception of what you're capable of becoming.

You can respect where someone's fear comes from without making it the foundation of your future.

And here's the beauty in breaking those chains: your freedom can become someone else's inspiration. By challenging the limitations others placed on you, you may become living proof that what they once believed was impossible was simply beyond the boundaries of what they knew.

Sometimes people need to witness someone else breaking a cycle before they realize they have the power to break their own.

Your growth doesn't always have to prove someone wrong. Sometimes it can inspire them to see beyond what they once believed was right. 🌱

DARKNESS → REVELATION → SERVICE → PURPOSE IN ACTION → KEEP MOVING FORWARD. 🌱🙏🏽✨

Sometimes the things God develops in you privately are meant to serve a purpose publicly.

The lessons learned in dark seasons, the wisdom gained through experience, and the gifts God placed within you may eventually become something that helps someone else.

Maybe God allowed me to experience the dark so I could understand the value of my light—and eventually become a light for someone else. Each 1 Teach 1.

✝️Matthew 10:27 reminds me to bring into the light what was revealed in the dark.

✝️1 Peter 4:10 reminds me to use the gifts I’ve been given to serve others.

I’m learning that purpose isn’t only about what God has called me to do—it’s also about surrendering to how HE chooses to use me.

If it isn’t GODS will, I don’t want it. If it is GODS will, give me the courage to walk in it.

Learn it in the dark.
Speak it in the light.
Use your gifts to serve.
Trust God with where they lead you.

I recognize my growth → I accept the shift → I respect the process → I protect who I've become → I trust where I'm going.

🙏🏽In advance THANK YOU GOD for taking me here. To the many lessons and blessings you have given me in order to work on me and through me. That continues to prepare me to guide me. Im grateful and humble at the same time. AMEN!

Sometimes you don’t realize how long you’ve been becoming until you look back. The message was there before I fully understood it. The vision was there before I fully lived it. And somewhere between who I was then and who I am now… I grew into the very thing I created.

GrowthWithLis wasn’t just a name. It became the journey.

And the journey taught me that elevation requires process. Growth requires movement. Transformation requires releasing parts of yourself, your environment, and sometimes your history that can’t accompany the person you’re becoming.

I honor this version of me—not because she’s finished, but because I know what it took to become her. And instead of rushing toward what’s next, I’m tending to who I am right now and trusting that the path will continue to open as I grow and keep going.

Maturity is realizing you don’t have to correct every misunderstanding or convince people of who you are. People will view you through the lens of their own experiences, limitations, fears, and perceptions—and sometimes, they’ll simply be wrong.

Let them.
STAY AUTHENTIC & SOLID
WALK IN PURPOSE & ALIGNMENT
MOVE WITH LOVE AND PURE INTENT

Your responsibility isn’t to make your life, growth, or choices understandable to everyone else. It’s to remain accountable for your character, keep becoming who you’re meant to be, and allow your life to speak for itself.

You get one life. Don’t waste it trying to control someone else’s perception of it. 🤍

Feed your mind what you want your life to become. 🧠✨

Not every addiction looks destructive at first. Some simply keep us distracted, stagnant, or disconnected from who we’re capable of becoming.

If you’re going to obsess over something, obsess over learning, growing, evolving, and becoming wiser than you were yesterday.

The right knowledge, applied at the right time, can shift your mindset, your habits, your decisions—and ultimately your life.

Learn. Apply. Evolve. Repeat. 🌱

Experience → What you take from it → Refinement → Alchemy → Transformation.

The difference between two people with the same life is often what each of them decided the experience was for.

There are people who leave every season with memories. And there are people who leave every season with a new skill, standard, boundary, language, business, body, or philosophy.

Become the second. Be an alchemist.

That’s the difference between simply experiencing life and allowing life to REFINE you.

Being an alchemist doesn’t mean pretending everything that happens is good. Some experiences hurt. Some disappoint us. Some cost us things we never wanted to lose.

But even when we cannot change what happened, we can decide what we carry forward from it.

Carry nothing that does not transform you.

Fear is not always the stop sign. Sometimes, it’s a sign that you’re going somewhere within yourself you haven’t been before.

Most people feel fear and retreat toward what’s familiar—the relationship, the job, or the version of themselves they’ve already outgrown. Familiarity can feel safer than uncertainty, even when it no longer serves us.

✨️But what if fear isn’t always trying to stop you? What if sometimes it’s pointing toward a part of you that’s ready to grow?

😱Fear of being alone can reveal where you’re still learning to trust your own presence.

😱Fear of starting over can reveal where you’ve attached your worth to what you’ve built rather than who you are.

😱Fear of being truly seen can reveal where you learned that the real you wasn’t safe to show.

😱Fear of losing people can reveal where you learned to shrink yourself to keep love.

😱And fear of the unknown can reveal where you’ve learned to trust the familiar more than yourself.

Sometimes the walls we built to protect ourselves eventually become the same walls keeping us from what’s on the other side.

So don’t automatically run from fear—or automatically obey it. Read it. Understand what it’s protecting, and ask whether that protection is still necessary.

🗺Your fear can be an honest map pointing toward the places within you that need your attention, healing, and courage.

🙏🏽Fear can have a voice without having the final vote.

🚚 RELEASE → 222 TRUST → 🌱 GROW → 🦋 TRANSITION → 🚪 RECEIVE

Yesterday felt like a metaphor for my life. 😂

I had so much going on in 1 day that I was in my head about— my career, finances, motherhood, personal goals, and everything I’m trying to figure out in this season.

Then came the storm. 🌬🌧️🌪😳
I was drenched from head to toe running to my car. I looked like I jumped the pool.

May God used the rain to cleanse me from my thoughts. 😅🤏. It worked. 😆

Scared to death, I could barely see the road with my son in the car, construction, and rising floods kept changing my route, and all I wanted to do was get us home safe.

🤔 But I realized something:

I couldn’t see the entire road ahead of me, but I could see enough to keep moving.

😵‍💫With my mind catching up to what happened finally a few blocks from home:

🚦I ended up at a red light
🚚behind a garbage truck
✨️with 222 on it.

I literally said, “Okay God!…what are you trying to tell me?” 😂😭💀

🤔And the symbolism hit me:

A garbage truck carries away what we no longer need. But I didn’t know where that truck was going—and I didn’t need to.
We shared the same road for a moment, but we didn’t share the same destination.

Sometimes we release something physically but keep following it mentally because we still want to know where it’s going, what happens next, or how it ends. But you don’t need to know the destination of what you’ve released to continue toward your own.

✨️Let what’s leaving, leave.
✨️Let what’s growing, grow.
✨️Don’t chase what’s already unfolding.
✨️Trust the timing.
✨️And when the light changes, keep moving.

You don’t need the whole route. You just need enough light for the next move.

Sometimes preparation looks like removal before it ever looks like addition.

TRUTH → CHOICE → REALIZATION.

Truth gives people something choice cannot exist without: AWARENESS!

We all have free will, and every decision we make—or choose not to make—has an outcome. Not deciding is still a decision in practice, and it can still produce an outcome when someone is trying to avoid choosing altogether.

But free will also requires the opportunity to make an informed choice.

There’s a difference between honesty and transparency. You can technically tell the truth while still omitting pieces of it—and sometimes what you leave out is the very information that could have changed someone’s decision.

“I didn’t lie” doesn’t always mean, “I gave you the truth you needed to make an informed choice.”

Sometimes we withhold information because we’re afraid of what someone might choose, how it might affect us, or the consequences that may follow. We may even call it protection. But protection can become control when someone else’s choices are being managed by controlling what they’re allowed to know.

That doesn’t mean everyone is entitled to know everything about you. Privacy and boundaries still exist. But when information directly affects a decision someone is being asked to make; They deserve the opportunity to choose with awareness and respecting someone’s free will doesn’t mean accepting whatever they choose.They have the freedom to choose, and you have the freedom to decide what their choice means for you.

Sometimes the truth, choice, or realization that follows won’t feel good. But discomfort doesn’t always mean something went wrong. Sometimes it’s simply the adjustment that happens when truth changes what we know, a decision changes what we’ve accepted, or a boundary changes what we’ve allowed.

Don’t withhold truth or take away someone’s opportunity to choose simply to prevent discomfort. Sometimes discomfort is what creates the awareness necessary for freedom, healing, growth, and change.

✨️Give people the truth with transparency.

✨️Give them the opportunity to make an informed choice.

✨️Then let their decision—or their refusal to make one—give you the information you need to make yours.

We spend so much time praying for increase that we sometimes forget to pray for the character to sustain it.

The truth is, blessings without wisdom can become burdens. Opportunities without integrity can be wasted. Influence without humility can become pride.

Growth isn't just about receiving more—it's about becoming more.

Sometimes the season you're in isn't God withholding abundance. It's God preparing you to carry it. He's strengthening your patience before promotion, your integrity before influence, your wisdom before wealth, and your faith before fulfillment.

Don't measure your progress only by what you've gained. Measure it by who you're becoming.

Because when your character grows, your capacity grows. And what God entrusts to you is far more valuable than what you simply acquire.

✨ Chase transformation as passionately as you chase your dreams, and you'll discover that true abundance begins long before it reaches your hands.

🙏 Pray up so your spirit stays aligned.
😌 Keep your head down and let consistency speak louder than announcements.
💰 Then watch the results take care of themselves.

The world celebrates the outcome. God develops the character that can sustain it.

Remember...
‼️Money without discipline disappears.
‼️Success without purpose feels empty.
‼️Influence without integrity eventually falls apart.

The goal isn't just to get more. It's to become someone who can handle more.

Stay focused.

Stay faithful.

⏳️Time is one of the few things we all receive equally, yet it's one of the first things we assume we'll always have.

We tell ourselves we'll make the call tomorrow, chase the dream next year, start healing when life slows down, or tell the people we love how much they mean to us "one day."

⌛️Then life reminds us that tomorrow was never guaranteed.

Time has a way of humbling us—not to punish us, but to teach us the value of what we overlooked while we still had it.

So don't wait for regret to become your teacher.

Be present. Speak the truth. Take the chance. Love deeply. Forgive when you're ready. And make today count, because every moment you honor becomes part of the life you were meant to live.
